I meet this girl in her early 20's at a local eating joint I go to. She is a waitress for the summer before she goes back to school. I'm in my early 30's and I thought it would be a fun little fling for a month or two.

She is a women's studies major who goes to a nice school in the area. Fantastic toned and small body. Full of a lot of bullshit ideas and idealism. I don't really openly talk about my politics but I like to tease her.

I ask for her number. A week later we're on a date and she's back to my place and we hooked up.

A few days later she is making a big deal that I don't text her enough and that she wants to come over for more sex.

I say No. I have to workout and I don't feel like hanging out.

I could have gone for sex, or not, no biggie either way. But my workout schedule is holy.

I tell her, how about tomorrow. She says, "If I'm in the mood." She's already trying to reclaim some power. I just smile to myself and go about my business.

She's over the next night and ... wait for it, she doesn't want to have sex. I work her up and get head and she swallows. I'm done.

So I tell her she has to leave as I have to work out. It's wed, and I'd already mentioned that to her. She starts to make a big deal out of and almost makes an argument that I'm "kicking her out."

I tell her, "Maybe your last boyfriend did whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted, but that's not me."

I lay it out for her. I let her stew all day and she finally texts me. I call her and say, "Look, you gotta respect my goals and my health. I have a set schedule, and I work full time. I don't mind opening up to you but you need to relax a bit."

So she says, "Maybe we're not working out." I say, "Fine, can you bring back the tie I lent you for your party?" (She needed to dress up for some party.) And I told her I wanted it tonight. I wasn't being childish, just firm and I didn't want to drag it out.

She shows up, brings my Tie, and then starts talking about feels, and compromise, and what do I want from her.

At this point she's red flagging hard and I've lost pretty much all interest, but I'm enjoying experimenting with responses.

She tells me how much she likes me, and we should go to a movie tomorrow. I say sure, I'll text you after work.

Fast forward to this afternoon, she texts me, and she asks me if we can see Maleficent.

This is our text log. I need to get a screenshot app.

I say, "Doesn't that promote patriarical stereotypes?"

Her: "Jaha no. Nevermind."

Me: "Change your mind?"

Her: "Nope. I just don't want to beg to see the movie."

Me: "Are you going to buy me a ticket?"

Her: "Fuck no! I'm going without you don't worry about it."

Me: "Language!"

Her:"Compromise willingly. Good bye."

Me: "That is a compromise. I go see a movie I don't want to see and you pay. What am I missing? That's fair right?"

Her:"Bullshit on fair. Don't worry about it. I'll go see it without you."

I guess the problem is that she thinks holding out sex on me is going to do something when I've pretty much soft nexted already.

I was just thinking, sometimes it's good to experiment with girls you don't want, to be ready for the ones you do want. Either way, I'm with holding money and she is trying to with hold sex. I see no reason to do something that doesn't interest me just to cave to her demands. I could probably try to break her down a bit for a few weeks, but by then she'll be back at college anyway.
