TL;DR: Old guy gets extra IOI, when he displays social value, by beeing seen with a woman of high social value.

By all rights, I'm no longer following rule 1.
I am 50+ years-old. I have 3 spare tires. balding. what's not bald, is salt-and-pepper. I'm a (applying unhelpful labels here.) slightly crosseyed, conservative, (not angry), white, anglo-saxon, Christian, male, boomer. But, I dance. Like, a lot.

I once took my niece (yes, my real niece, who is a friend, and who had recently turned, "of age"), out dancing with me. She danced with me a couple times, but mostly with other people. Every time we split up, I would get immediate IOI from at least one younger, mid-20's max, 6-8HSV (old guy, rounding up), woman.

I don't last more than a couple hours at the club. My niece was dancing with two guys and having a blast. But, we both wanted to leave. From anyone else's perspective, I was turning and walking away in a hurry (to go grab the coats). I didn't even make it to the front of the club, when some cute, young-thing basically ran, yes ran, across the club and told me I couldn't leave yet. When she turned and saw my niece following me out, her face dropped.

I dance a lot. I don't go to hook up. I go to dance. I always get some attention because I'm a guy, clearly doing his own thing, and having a blast. But, the amount of interest I got, whenever I was dancing with my niece, was freaky powerful. It wasn't just attention they were radiating. It was intention.

Had I been alone, it would have been just the usual.
