Comparing SMV can be useful when using it to set personal goals (I want to look like that, I want to be able to afford that car etc.).

If you think going to prison would increase your SMV, by all means go for it, not a difficult task.

Your friend might have more cred in his scene (jesus I sound old) but having a criminal record is not going to help you long term unless keeping you off the streets gets you clean or keeps you out a more dangerous environment.

Most things that build good solid SMV are also good for you outside of the sexual marketplace. If you're thinking of going MGTOW purely because the task seems so enormous you're selling out on yourself not just turning your back on women. I suggest you make your decision on whether to go MGTOW forever when you have improved most aspects of your SMV that also have benefits for you as a MWGHOW

As for the criminal well yes being a bad bad guy is one way to get pussy. But a lot of the pussy he'd be getting is just pure trouble. And AWALT, he's still going to have to deal with shit tests and comfort tests and hypergamy and all the rest.

Your criminal friend will only have higher SMV with certain lower class crowds and even then it's marginal. If he had higher SMV than you with anyone else then you can attribute it to your own frame.
