You need a reason besides the real one for them to come home with you. Getting a drink is too typical. You need to have some photos of something cool or a really amazing scotch you just got from a friend. The better the story and the feels around it the more interested they will be.

It sounds like you are close to the bar, leave your jacket at home. When you leave to go to the next bar, say do you mind a second I need to grab my jacket, take her up to your place, let her see you have a nice pad, then go to the next bar. Make sure she just hangs in the door way and you spend no longer than 2-3 minutes there but leave her alone. After the second bar, present the reason that she should come with you back to your place again, hey this place is dying, I just got this new cocktail recipe I want to try etc. come with me. The second time she is in your place, it feels homey and things move forward with more guards down.

I like to invite them back for coffee afterwards. It's got a really solid rate of success. Sometimes you bang, other times you just build some comfort.

As it's been said by a poster above me, comfort is key. You still need to get a certain amount of rapport with her.

I wouldn't sweat it OP. Bar girls are flaky as shit as it is.

I'm going to give it to you straight kid - the era of "3 dates and the bang" is gone. Unless you're actually banging them out (in which case they feel sluttier for NOT calling you) nothing you do make-out wise separates them from the other 5 guys that are asking her out and making out with her.

Closing the deal quickly is critical nowadays.
