If you are sexually active there a high probability that you have hpv, though it is mostly harmless.

It's a fairly low risk. Even so, most common stds are curable. The risk of HIV is basically zero unless you're banging heroine users in the ass. Herpes is fairly common, but mostly asymptomatic in people. Same thing with hpv, though it's less common. I've never gotten an std and have raw dogged 20+ girls, mostly one night stands.

I think if it's something you're concerned about then using condoms and exercising some basic judgement (i.e. don't bang a girl that mentions how much she loves cocaine and gangbangs) will make the risk of contracting something extremely small. In my estimation, the std scare tactics we're taught is a bunch of propagandistic bullshit.

Choose partners wisely, wear a condom (+don't finish inside), get vaccinated as possible, keep some antivirals on hand.

Washing before and after sex also will reduce chances of getting an STD. This is by no means 100% effective though.

I have been with a lot of women, one night stands only with a condom, and no STD's. An acquaintance has been with over 200 women under similar conditions and is STD free.
