I was pure "red pill" in Jr. High clear to sophomore year in college (I'm 27 now). I was an alpha, pure star athlete jock AND a musician- a singer no less, had 50 chick's by the time I was 20. Well my Jr. year (I'd be 21), I "fell in love" (I know, super gay and cliché). I mean this girl was my world, I was just mad about her. And oh my God was she hot and a great fuck. She was 5"7', a buck fifteen, blue eyes, black hair, c cups, great ass, and a face like a God damn angel, think young Angelina Jolie like, she was Gorgeous. And so cool and smart (Major red flag guy's, if they're beautiful, smart and cool. Run)

She was also a World class cunt and I'm pretty sure a female sociopath or at least a Dark Triad. She basically ruined me. We were together for 21 months, the last four being hell on Earth. She emasculated me, she fucked my friends, she abused me- physically and verbally, she tried to frame me, she stole, she made me cry. I mean, she utterly buried me. Then pretty much vanished and pretended it never happened nor do I exist.

Then for over a year I moped around, got fat, got fired, started doing cocaine and drinking. Then one day my boss and really, my only friend, told me about Red pill.

And I worked. I got hard. I got focused. I got, very, very selfish and driven.

Now, over the last nearly 2 years, I've got my golden ratio back. Great car. Great clothes and bang new chick's every month.

It's good to be me. And it's good to be awake and in the game.

But man I was a sorry fuck for over a year, I fucked 2 girls that year and there was on spot I went without sex for like 8 months. I was such a punk bitch. I even tried to beg The Cunt from Hell to take me back. She was fucking and shacking up with some late 30's, balding, skinny ass banker or engineer or something by then. Her new mark. I guess he left his wife for The Cunt from Hell. I mean, I was such a broken fuck. Pathetic.

Simple. We had a brain and our minds weren't closed off to the idea that women weren't perfect. From there, TRP is simply an open discussion attempting to be as objective as humanly possible about what works and doesn't work.

Society took the idea of equality of opportunity for all as a universal principle, then it misinterpreted it to mean women and men are the same. That was the mistake. Men and women are not the same or equal. They are different. Gender differences are observed all over the place. Not noticing this requires a lot of willful ignorance.

You should note that TRP is a male space. Everything written here is for men and to help men achieve the most they can out of life (sometimes to the detriment of women. That's why other subs hate us.) While some of the base knowledge needs to be understood by women... the rest of it is of little use to you because it's for blokes. Go over to the RedPillWomen sub and read that sidebar. That uses the knowledge we've put together here to try and tackle relationships from the female perspective and get what women need out of a relationship to secure their own long term happiness. Over here, we want long term happiness for men... which is a tough topic in modern society for fairly obvious reasons.

Men come here in different ways. Usually some real-world experience that compels them to seek answers to things that keep recurring, but don't seem to fit the narrative we've been sold.

But it is also important to realize that what is TRP today grew out of the early PUA movement ... in particular the writings of people like Pook and Anti-Dump and others over at SoSauve back around 1999-2003, as well as some of the early MGTOWs. Those ideas were later expounded upon by writers like Rollo over at the RationalMale website and others. They have been further built upon and coalesced here.

So in short, TRP is based on nearly two decades of writing and experience by men who live in the modern world, and experience these things everyday. It's not some passing fad or trivial observations.

Although I should only talk about myself and not talk for others it has been my observation that most of us were treated badly by a woman or two and swapped stories only to find out that we were not only not alone but our experiences were extremely common. From group experience a theory formed about how women tick and when those ideas were used to change our approach to women our lives changed dramatically for the better proving that the theory worked and was therefore correct. So many men's lives have improved so dramatically by using the ideas expressed here that the red pill cannot be dismissed. It is a force of good for men making them way happier than ever before. It is a side effect that our women are happier too because they are getting treated the way they really like to be treated and not the politically correct way that simply does not work for them or for us. The ideas heavily use an approach respecting millions of years of evolution, the natural and biological nature of humans and even compare human development with animal development and behavior. The people here are very direct and pay no lip service to PC which they consider as society manipulation and control. The IQ level is way above average and the vocabulary will require frequent use of a dictionary. I'm totally guessing but there are more people on this site earning six figure incomes than any other similar site. It is growing because it works. It is that simple.

The short answer is that men tend to be able distinguish between words and actions, and trust actions more.

We experience women behaving very differently than they claim with regards to who they're attracted to, how they treat men who show any weakness, how they aren't loyal to their partners, how they will exploit social structures to harm a man's reputation, etc.

Some men decide that turn-about is fair play and become pickup artists to exploit what women really desire in order to fulfill their own needs.

Other men think that two wrongs don't make a right and just remove themselves from the situation and go their own way rather than compromise their personal standards for the sake of temporary sating physical needs.

The switch to red-pill thinking is just like switching to any new belief system. At some point for all of us, we saw that the "old" way just wasn't matching reality. It didn't explain the evidence or the lived experience (w.r.t women) right in front of us. So, we were hungry and ripe for a change. In fact, we couldn't NOT change. The old way of thinking just no longer made sense; it required too many exceptions. By contrast, red-pill thinking (which is a huge over-simplifying couple of words, BTW) simply fits the observed world so, so much better.

I'll bet that each of one of us can recall the very moment we said, "Wow!" and a light bulb lit up in our heads. Maybe it was triggered by some final-straw moment with a wife or girlfriend, a low point in our lives. Or maybe it came by observing some other alpha, someone who defied the blue-pill rules and in one stroke made the entire house of cards fall to pieces in our mind. Those who are here probably next got lucky. Maybe they had a heart-to-heart conversation with someone, perhaps they stumbled onto a book or a web site, and then another, and then yet another. Like me, they quickly couldn't stop reading and learning--and then testing the theories. And voila! They got a new paradigm that makes a whole lot more sense.

What's funny though is how, young or old (I'm in my mid-50's), we all now "get it" and don't mind sharing.

We are all conditioned to think a certain way from a very young age. I won't tell you that way is necessarily wrong or bad, but know that we all are conditioned. I generally eschew any conditioning because even if they turn out to be useful and good, they still aren't my thoughts or feelings.

What I'm trying to say is give what you read here a chance, and take it with a grain of salt. The content isn't 100% genius, or even sensible. There are fem trolls, there are stupid people who think they're brilliant, there are confused young men struggling with concepts. But there are also doctors, university professors, scientists, writers, truly erudite people sharing deep insight you can't get elsewhere.

Because Instead of trying the same thing again and again we stood back looked at ourselfs and asked why. I googled "why do women keep flaking on dates" I didnt get it i did everything right paid for everything didn't rush just a kiss on the first date, flowers on the second and stood up on the third.

Thanks to google i found myself here and when i started reading many of the post could of been post directly from my life like some one was watching me and literately wrought a description of what i had done and the results i experienced. It was unreal. This sub is a think-tank of new (or old) ideas that are for the most part now-days strictly social forbidden to be openly discussed in the real world and in many places online.

Most men go through life with a willful ignorance denying what is right in front of them. This place helps connect the dots and a lot of the times (at least for me) forces me to take a realistic look at myself giving me a hard kick in the balls. And that's why i think this place gets a bad rap most men don't want to see women for what they really are and most men really really don't want to see themselves for what they really are.

I was smart person who were reading a lot of books on game theory, psychology, engineering and strategy. That shaped my world view.

My views are not average TRP (since we created our mental models of reality independently) but I like everything that is happening here.

TRP is cool and awesome.
