I didn't really read your post but I'll simply comment on social media and online dating and leave everything else out.

Social media and online dating are like hyperized versions of real dating. Average guys are even more invisible. Women get even more validation than usual. Women are far more selective. The top 10% of males get even more attention while the rest may as well not exist.

We see it with online dating all the time. Chubby and overweight chicks that are 5'2" demanding that only 6'0 white guys with cars and apartments send messages. And the sad part is they're getting more than enough attention from males from their facebook and online dating profile and real life to be this selective.

The average guy doesn't stand a chance in today's dating scene without excellent logistics if he chooses to do the night game route, or unless he simply approaches tens of women every week. Like 15+. Luckily in real life it's easier to get women into you because many guys don't approach women seriously without the safety of a computer screen.

Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) you have to move fast in today's dating scene. The days of courting a woman for several dates are gone. If you haven't smashed by the 2nd date she's probably got 4 other guys waiting to take her out. Even if you think a date went well and you even kissed her or made out with her, chances are she still will flake on you the following week if she thinks she has better options (which if she's attractive, she does). That girl you took out for dinner or coffee and ended the night with a tender kiss with, may have went inside her apartment, hopped on tinder, and got fucked by some alpha dick. Meanwhile you're confused when she flakes on you or tells you she just wants to be friends the next time you ask her out.

When we start getting virtual reality porn and sex robots, I don't think things will change. The only guys who will resort to them (since there will be social stigma) will be the bottom 20% who wouldn't be getting laid anyway. The middle 60% will continue to fight for the scraps that the top 20% are enjoying.

Since the rise of the internet and 'hook up culture', dating has become more difficult for the average guy, impossible for the low tier guy, and amazing for the top tier guy. There is very little level ground anymore. You either play to win or you watch from the sidelines as higher value males, who were probably just born with better genetics than you, fuck all the girls who friendzoned you.

Some males will accept this and some will fight against it by spending months in the gym, working on their careers/businesses, tightening their wardrobe and personal style, improving their social freedom and ability to talk to women, and making an effort to stand out from the rest so they too can play the game to win instead of watching everyone else succeed.

Such is life.

Yes. In your suggested reality women in their 20's will still be more desirable due to successful child birth being positively correlated with youth. As their youth fades, this still would based on your premise.

In regards to men this depends on the economic system in place. Assuming it is still capitalism, yes. The odds of having several resources would still be skewed towards those who have spent longer accumulating those resources.

Any "alpha standard" will not be fixed by genetic engineering. There will be competition. Those who have succeeded or are likely to succeed more than others in the competition for resources will still be "alpha".

The SMV of women and men cannot equal out by only changing a surface value(beauty) that is not the primary determinant of determinant of both sexes reproductive success.

The satisfaction of sex for men and women will lead to a decrease in female value. However, these robots based on your premise cannot reproductive, thus human to human sexual interaction will still be selected for. Therefore personality will still matter in making that pairing and their raising of offspring a success.

Undoubtedly. And you have already provided the explanation. I will paraphrase. If everyone has the same level of attractiveness, there will be just that much greater emphasis on alpha male behavior- dominance, success, social accumen ect. You can change aesthetics, but you would have to rewire the DNA that gives rise to our social proclivities to get rid of the stratification of SMV.

Personality, while a vague term, will always be a factor to some degree. More to the point, however, sex robots will revolutionize the sexual landscape. Obviously a man who has access to the women with the highest SMV will likely still dip his pen in the ink of reality, but the lesser men (those who would have to put in considerable effort to learn game) would just as easily sit in their den and have sex with replicas of whoever the prevailing beauty of the day would be. The abundance mentality that we always talk about would be the new male norm.

This is where it gets interesting. I have seen a great deal of people discuss this topic, saying that women will be gnashing their teeth because they will no longer be able to control men with their monopoly of sexual currency. This is patently false. As soon as men start moving toward these new sexual robots, women will realize that they cannot compete, rendering the currency between their legs almost valueless. As a result, there will be a second wave of sexual robots manufactured to satisfy the feminine. This, in turn, will cause an uncoupling of the genders as they will no longer need each other, and the true differences between the sexes will appear.

Any intrigue, or social mobility conferred from sexual favors will be drastically reduced. And this is where the male predisposition toward logic, rationality, and realistic application will become manifest. Women will become second class citizens, not because of discrimination, but because the society would move toward the greater ideals of meritocracy. 1) All but the most attractive women (most of the population) would work just enough to afford their dominant, alpha sex bot. The few, young women who could measure up would take part in the sexual marketplace for a couple years, not contributing much to the rest of society as such women are traditionally known to do.

2) Betas will be like post wall women, working just enough to get the hottest sex bot. The true alphas will dabble between the real and fabricated high SMV. However, given that their intellects will be the most fertile, and their SMV the longest lasting, their interaction with reality will be the most consistent, and thus drive whatever culture remains.

Feel free to extrapolate from here. Maybe these higher value men create the matrix. Throw in the potential for the singularity around this time and things get a little hazy.

Technology is my forte, and I can say without a doubt that in 20-30 years when we've got immersive virtual reality technology that can simulate any experience as if it was lifelike then there's not going to be any reason to work on getting a woman when you can fuck anything imaginable in the virtual realm.

Height will be an arms race. Let's say 3% of men are 7 feet tall - all women will want a 7 foot man. I don't think there's any upper limit.

Of course, many health problems emerge when you get well past 6 feet.

There's a few problems with technology for SMV, namely that entertainment is so phenomenal. Gaming, mobile gaming / apps, social media, wearable technology, it is all going to get very, very good because this is the one part of America that is still rocking out despite the recession.

The problem is, it creates a dichotomy between men, those who can handle the entertainment as a side dish and focus on creating their own value, and those who just enjoy the escape the fabulous entertainment provides. Technology will - and has - gotten to the point where if you want, you can coast on a shitty cheap job and just medicate yourself with free shit. Torrents, free games, REDDIT, social media, etc - people get addicted to free entertainment, not realizing the only reason so much entertainment is free now is that creators have realized that hooking you is a more valuable prize than getting the dollar in your wallet. You can spend your whole life titilating yourself - and this will get worse. Why go become an alpha when you can, on a 40k a year salary and a cheap apartment, have all the games you want, a sex robot, this badass character is some new age 3-D real world mapping MMO that your brain believes is real life? It is all going to be developed.

Right now we have tons of otherwise smart people - people who in a different life could have been high powered professionals / driven artists / writers / engineers etc - working where they are overqualified because they don't have ambition beyond entertainment. If Xboxs and computers costed a fortune like they used to, then yeah, maybe this guy would be motivated, but in reality he only needs a few hundred to have years worth of amusement / escape. It is dangerous and it means that the guys who make it to the top will have hordes of betas to set of passive income streams on, creating a cyclical effect.

I love technology, but it is scary. The stories on gaming addiction, for example, are scarier to me than drug addiction stories because I could easily see that in a different life, if I didn't have a dad who was willing to say no to the N64, I could have easily spiraled and became one of these guys playing LoL until 5 AM in the morning.

If free markets prevail, the increases in productivity will make beta provisioning almost obsolete. The welfare state gives us an idea of what hypergamy run wild will be like, but with continuing advances in robotics and general productivity, beta males will become less and less attractive and necessary.

On the other hand, maybe someone will discover how to genetically program people to be faithful to their mates.

With in the next 3-5 years a male "pill" and an artificial womb will hit the market. Females will be of no use at that point other than to keep as pets for amusement. I like this question because I have similar thoughts when I look at people whose lack of physical attraction is brought on by themselves. Why don't they just unfuck themselves? The answer is obvious, of course, (no willpower, victimizing themselves, etc) but that is another topic.

I don't think society(women) can handle a world where everyone is their best self. Think back to sexual markets for a moment.

WOMEN---> Looks, fertility, youth. Social status MAYBE (no one wants to be seen with trash)

MEN---> Money, status, social proof, talent, physique and, yes, looks.

These are how each gender is judged in the sexual market-place. Notice a difference? Men can prove themselves in multiple areas, whereas women have three things, which, to be honest, are all more or less the same thing. Now enter future medicine and procedures where every single person can magically be the best looking person they can be. For men(in general), this is great! We have one area evened out for everyone AND all potential mates are HB10's, 9's, and 8's. It doesn't matter for the majority that they can no longer stand out for physical qualities because:

A)They were probably in the 80%

B) They have other ways to stand out.

They can get a good job, they can still display leadership qualities, they can still have a large circle of friends.

Now, let's look at women.

A) They can't stand out for physical beauty; all is equal now.

B) Men generally don't care about a woman's education, outside of not being an imbecile.

C) Their friends don't make them more attractive. If anything, more competition, especially considering they are equal.

D) I think a woman with money might be an attractive offer to some males but definitely not all.

It'll be like when rich men started going overseas to find women, but x1000. Women will bitch and moan about how they feel objectified, how men are pigs for wanting this and creating this (I promise, we'll catch the blame for this one way or another.) and just generally hate the entire idea.

And it totally makes sense. You don't see poor people and women bitching about the government moving closer and closer towards a completely socialized republic. Why? Because they benefit from it. Whenever they pendulum shifts in the other direction you'll see everyone who isn't getting what they've grown accustomed to grab their pitchforks and soap boxes and bitch about it. I think instead of evening out the (imagined) SMV gap, you see it shift in the other direction towards men.
