Your frame, to a man at least, should be showing respect at all times in normal circumstances. Respect should be assumed. Nothing else is needed.

In south eastern Asian countries crossing your arms while listening/talking says you respect the speaker/what he's saying.

Integrity, confidentiality and reliability. If you can be those things then any man will respect you.

You can also speak less and do more. Actions speak loudly.

1. A firm shaken hand.
1. Honoring your word precisely every time.
1. Do not object. Ask. Even if they're wrong. Prove it, and don't make them lose face.
1. Talk shit but do it where it can be proven and women don't exist except as silent spectators (i.e. guns, cars, & sports and women).

All these are premised on reciprocation. If one is violated, drop it and break a second if you give a shit. Unless you broken it yourself. Then there's no recovery. Move on.

Give praise even when a dude beats you. Admit the dude is better than you at something. Also, when he's being a dick, confront him on it.

When he needs to hear something, tell it to him. When he needs you to stfu and be supportive, do that.
