tl;dr HUMANS - a new British TV drama (remake of a similar Swedish show) raises some interesting questions about the future of interpersonal relationships
So... first post under the new formatting rules, let's hope I got it right.
I was watching Humans (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4122068/ the show is about the near future, in which the latest science has produced realistic synthetic humans) I couldn't help but think that when science finally gives us these robots at an affordable price (think automobile) a few things are going to change in our society:
1) Beta males will have access to sex with perfect replicas of real females, under those conditions why would they ever try to have sex with a real female anymore ? Already real dolls (that can't move at all) have a large market
2) Most menial jobs will be done by machines, forcing people to show real creativity and talent to work in a very different economy, intelligence will be at a premium, that would tend to place males ahead if we go by IQ as a measure of intelligence (not always perfect of course)
3) The entire impact is hard to calculate but it would be a lot like the automobile in my view, completely changing every business model forever
4) The implications for dating would be HUGE, if a synthetic human is realistic enough, a human (male or female) who wishes to date other humans would have to offer something extra that the android doesn't have. Like a great sense of humor...
5) the pay off would be greater for males and lesser for females, while both genders would enjoy the synthetic workforce and productivity gains, only men would have a massive gain in the sexual arena. Making this revolution a turning point for MEN in society much more so than women. I'm saying this because most women (5 and above) already have sex on demand. Unlike most males below 8.
Anyhow, I tough the idea would be interesting to explore, not exactly red pill but tangentially related if you will.
Let me know what YOU think about it.
LESSON LEARNED:
None, it's all speculation anyway.
