Well, the transition towards automation/mechanisation has been happening for centuries. Each step alienates those who can't compete with machines. Far from being "freed from a life of labour" they are left without a job or resources.

Conversely however... society is now so well off that we can easily support those who can't compete. (This happens more in Europe than stateside. Don't argue about the politics of this, I'm stating what is possible rather than what is right).

Sexbots will be more like porn or prostitution: a substitute. Perhaps a very very good substitute. But unless they act like real women (and they won't, because we wouldn't want them to), they'll provide no experience/practice. This will further alienate the genders.

Women will not try to compete, they will first shame men for this and then try to make sexbots illegal ... probably because they are "degrading to women", using some incredibly convoluted female 'logic' about using the female form for sex, objectifying them, and this is making men see women as sex objects and turning them into rapists. Therefore remove these slutty fembots from society so they can have their betabux back immediately.

Oh fucking man, can you imagine the shaming level that feminists will introduce just for these losers? This will be the ultimate beta taboo. Society will shame them for being afraid of 'real' (fat, lazy) women, and 'emotional connections' (oneitis, putting the power in the hands of women).

Most menial jobs will be done by machines, forcing people to show real creativity and talent to work in a very different economy, intelligence will be at a premium, that would tend to place males ahead if we go by IQ as a measure of intelligence (not always perfect of course)

This is actually a discussion of immense breadth and depth in the fields of futurology, philosophy, AI and even politics. Personally, I don't think this will work because most people are far too lazy and, most importantly, don't know how to make themselves happy if they're not slaving away on a job they hate. They'll fight for 'revolution'.

Personally, I'd love it, but I don't see it working with the population at large.

The implications for dating would be HUGE, if a synthetic human is realistic enough, a human (male or female) who wishes to date other humans would have to offer something extra that the android doesn't have. Like a great sense of humor...

Presuming that it happened this way, it'd mostly remove women's ability to keep men by being sluts. I mean, with a robot you could just demand sex and get it immediately, all the time, everywhere, with 0 chance of ever being turned down.

This would mean that women (ignoring that they'd really just shame the ever-loving fuck out of these things, the people who make them, people who use them etc) would have to get males by being submissive, respectful, charming and generally the way they should. But then why not just make robots this way?

It all leads to shame, if you ask me. This is the one thing that all women will take steps to avoid - they're naturally programmed to kick dirt on anything that fucks with their BB meal ticket.

This is a very interesting discussion but I can't pretend it belongs on this sub. I expect it to be deleted.

Robo pussy will be really big and we will see a population reduction over a few generations.

I expect the Areligious will have no reason to reproduce but religious people that believe God has commanded them to reproduce will try to reproduce and in a generation or two they will likely be a much larger force on the sexual marketplace setting the standards of sexual conduct for more people as a percentage of the population, depending on cultural shifts these guys may end up with full control over the sexual marketplace over a few generations, I'm not bothered because it means a future for humanity and no hoes to fuck it all up.

The issue we have is the introduction of the new automation revolution, if we don't anticipate it and other countries do we will lose big on an economic scale because as most forms of labor are devalued from automation the the production capacity falls backward against living standards due to new costs of production.

Essentially if germany says yes to automation and ireland says no every automatable job in ireland could go to germany instead and ireland loses big in GDP while germany gains.

The new economic shift is the big deal that determines how peacfully we shift that and a large number of fast cultural changes taking place are upsetting many people and this will likely cause an elevation of dissent in a big way, it will go from verbal to legal to cultural dissent quickly and then you will have regional secessions from unions across the world not just in the US, it has been happening for some time in many places but we will see a sort of kick off as a rejection of the unified new americana culture.

What worries me is that we will face automation and cultural nationalistic revolutions at the same time and that the current players in world politics will interfere to assure their primacy robots or not from country to country during the atomization crisis we are coming into.

There are no sure bets with both cultural revolution and labor revolution happening at the same time.
