Find a good mixed martial arts gym and stick to it. You'll have more clarity and it's the best social circle for what you need

I say focus on that social circle first. I can relate to you in a lot of ways and one thing has become abundantly clear to me is that, without a social circle of close MALE friends, I am going to be a bitter angry monk who lifts, reads, and has a lot of lonely nights.

Take up Crossfit or MMA, like another poster mentioned. Or maybe rock-climbing. Some activity where you can be productive in your own development while making friends at the same time. Give it time, man. You need that social network, otherwise you are a lone wolf navigating post-divorce world that has changed since we were in college. Vapid Tinder bitches are just going to piss you off.

Anyway, you just got a divorce and haven't been single in years. Maybe another woman isn't what you need in your life right now. Focus on improving yourself, make some friends, and learn to make yourself happy.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I never really considered a dojo, I'll check that out. I've also considered volunteering with a group that takes care of abandoned dogs, because dogs are awesome. I also do kickball leagues, but so far I've gotten paired up with teams that never really talk or do anything social.

Hopefully now that college football season starts today, I might be able to meet some bros at my local sports bar. Summer is completely dead around where I live.

And like another poster mentioned, i'd agree with working on the social circle. I am kind of in the same shock of "shit, who do i talk to now? or like really do things with?" It sucks. And i'm starting to think it is conducive to oneitis. Hows the city you live in -- Have you ever checked out meetup? Meets the proximity and shared interest mentioned by bookkeep to help boost your social circle.
Kickball is awesome, and glad to hear you are out there. I'm roughly the same age...I don't think the dating game has really changed since college, I think we just lose sight of ourselves and our goals.

Try finding a volunteer org, ideally male run to start then look to go after one that does mixed events.

You give back, you meet people and you learn.

Look at enrolling in some college courses at the local community college. Be the mature student and help the hottie with the problem.

This may be a hormone problem brought on by alcohol, high body fat and the shitvton of estrogens in our enviroment. Definitely consider it from that angle.
