You've learned push, now you need to learn the pull part. Being aloof works initially, but at some point you need to zero in. My problem with being aloof is that it never feels right to begin the pull.
It feels like if I stop being aloof, they think, "Oh, he's paying attention, I must have won." And they do stupid shit, thinking they've turned the tables. They will then try to cast you into orbit.

I don´t believe this is a good strategy to begin with. You see, to be successful with women you need a plan. First set a goal for yourself. Let´s say that goal is to fuck as much of them as you can. How is ignoring them from the start gonna help you accomplish your goal? Keep in mind the fact that if the are attractive, they have attention from multiple guys. How will you distinguish yourself? If you ignore them, they will most definitely ignore you right back.
You have to make contact and THEN make an approach that will make you stand out of the crowd. After you make a good impression you can go further in push/pull technique. Or any other for that fact. Ignoring is a great strategy, but in further stages of your battle. Not from the beginning. You can temporary "disappear" when you are already fucking her. Disappearing before you even "appeared" is NOT effective..

I've always ignored girls....or some at least. You need to be able to spot the difference between the down to earth ones and the basket cases; which is pretty easy.

I don't have much of an answer for you other than people watch. Always. You'll start realizing who the ones who are worth it are, even if they're not right for you.
It seems everyone here is hung up on the alpha or beta label, and though I'm not completely sure what trp defines it as, I think it's kind of bullshit. I'm an alpha-beta guy. I'm beta in most social settings but deep down I'm alpha. I don't try to pull women at bars, and don't have any deep resentment for the women or guys that do. I've had my share of one night stands and relationships, and haven't been laid since my last girlfriend.....five years running now. I don't feel I need it to complete me. At all. There are alpha and beta women out there as well. The "alphas" are the ones you generally want to avoid.
I have no desire to be an "alpha male" I'm plenty alpha in my own element. I feel no need to be a player and don't want any woman who is. You want a strong beta woman, and you can pick them out easily. I'm sure this doesn't completely coincide with red pill theory, but whatever. I'm new to this sub and I'm finding it kind of bullshit.
The way I see it there are people who are just naturally confident in themselves and those who are not. There are people who feign confidence and people who don't show it, but are happy with themselves, even if they're total nerds. There are people who have a lot to offer but for whatever reason their environment has beat them down. Likewise, there are the super beautiful women who are just too damn dumb to hack it in life. When you get used to picking up on these cues you start to get it.

I disagree with your point that you're alpha "deep down"
In a pack of wolves, every wolf deep down must consider themself a monster. When the big dogs are around, this doesn't show.
The alpha is the guy in the social situation commanding respect, attention, girls, etc. Being big and strong is part of that. I'm not there yet, but i'm working on it.
I could lie and tell myself that deep down im alpha, but this isn't the case. Deep down i know i will become a force to be reckoned with in multiple aspects of my life, and at this point in my life im the most committed to self improvement i've ever been. However, im not there yet. Objectively speaking, right now im just a relatively high value beta who is going to improve his SMV in leaps and bounds in the coming year.
A wolf cannot just decide it is alpha and that is that, it is based on how it is treated by the other wolves. If you're beta in a social situation, thats on you to improve or live with

It's all well and good to call yourself Alpha till you land in prison, or in a fight. If that's your definition there can't be only two categories. The only way to really decide who here is "alpha" is to get e-tough and throw down. Like I said, it's all bullshit. I don't feel any need to portray or exert my dominance onto others, until I need to.

You say we arent dogs, but we are animals. I think you are twisting the meaning of my words. Like animals, body language, posturing, etc is important to how we are perceived and how we perceive others.
By commanding attention, i don't mean some snivelling court jester. I mean the guy who has anyone's ear if he wants it. I think the image i was trying to portray was reasonably clear.
I totally agree with your first sentence by the way. That same guy who is commanding attention etc at a party would likely not be considered the alpha if he landed in prison. Its all a judgement that is made relative to who else is around in the social environment.
For instance, i exhibited many blue pill traits prior to finding this sub (and still do). However, when i met my girlfriend, i was clearly the most high value guy in the room. I was in the position of an "accidental alpha", and this is probably a large part of the reason she was attracted to me

Nah Gunther is right. Too many guys think we are dogs, we are not. There is and never will be an alpha, only strong-minded men and weak-minded men. Strong-minded men are confident, comfortable, and know themselves inside and out. Weak-minded men are the opposite. No alpha dawwgs, or beta, omega, sigma, fuckma, etc. etc.. Anyone saying otherwise is trying to be something he is not.

Before I took TRP I ignored girls all the time because I pretty much didn't care. It sometimes worked but a lot of the time they ignored me back and told me it was because they thought I didn't like them. I think a main factor is that if you are playing this kind of game with a girl make sure she sees you around fairly regularly and doesn't forget about you and that you do actually talk to her.

I don't ignore girls, most of the time I just talk to them as if I'm talking to a man. You should see how they immediately notice that you don't play the double standard nice guy thing on them. Most girls like it, feels more secure.
