How do so many single women afford to live in NYC?

I could afford to live in the big city if I wanted to live beyond my means, save nothing for the future, and could rely on the state or men to bail me out if I lost my job/something catastrophic happened. I make good money - not 1%ing yet but around 80-100k (depending on OT availability.)

I bought a home in a Chicago suburb almost immediately out of college, whereas most of the women my age are paying through the nose renting hideously overpriced apartments in the hip, gentrifying areas of the city. The distribution of city:suburb women on OKCupid exemplifies this; if I meet anyone off the site they're going to be deep in the city, which can often be a pain the ass to get to. All of the women in my area are in high school or 40+.

You can blow a hell of a lot when you have social safety nets backing you up. Men don't have that luxury. I have to keep a huge cushion in case the shit hits the fan.

Roommates, escorts, and sex for favors, or just having an abundance of orbiters. Also, online dating for free meals. You'll notice that the women pulling it off are typically in their 20s & 30s and very attractive. Women who can't rely on their looks flounder and move out of the city unless they have high paying jobs.

The same way single men live in NYC. They have jobs. Manhattan is expensive to live in but the outer boroughs generally aren't. NYC is too expensive for most single people so they all pretty much have roommates, men and women included, unless you have a 5% job.

Affirmative action, slutting up to men for favors, divorce rape and prostitution/pornography of course. Not like the vast majority could earn so much cash legit, living by the same rules as men. Abuse your sexuality for free shit or be "an all independent woman" by getting into a job because you have a vagina and they need to fill the quota. This is how they roll.

It's nothing personal per say, it's a combination of my real life observations, talking to women "friends" and reading a lot of red pill articles.

I see women abusing sexuality in whatever way they can, it's their main trump card next to the victim card.

I've read a lot of red pill shit (http://therationalmale.com/) and the reason so many older women can afford it is because of that insane divorce rate in the US, they're living off divorce money and if kids are involved have a regular income in the form of alimony as well as having the option to double their income by working a job should they choose, this makes expensive places like NY affordable. Younger women try to date rich guys and get free shit or do porn for a quick buck pre-divorce rape. You can find all this shit out for yourself by reading red pill articles and listening to what older guys have to tell you based upon their experiences with divorce/women.

The % of women that do porn is extremely small. Otherwise pretty solid list. There is more "soft" prostitution than many people realize, especially in places like LA.

If only it were that simple. Going to places where women outnumber men just means more women fighting for the same 10-20% of guys. Someone posted an article here maybe a month ago that talked about this. He used to rush over to a party his friends were at when there were few guys, but the women still always fought for the attention of the same small percentage of men.

Instead of going where females outnumber males, go where you have the most status. If you don't have social circles or areas of your life where you're the most popular guy, then you need to cultivate new social circles and hobbies, and create events where you're the highest status person in the room.
