We have been brainwashed by this whole bullshit feminine imperative that men are not supposed to be in positions of authority. So brainwashed that as a culture we are ashamed of our of own healthy loving paternal instincts. Paternal love is enormously powerful. A boyfriend/husband does everything a father does for a woman but sexual intimacy and physical attraction is involved. It sounds fucked up I agree, but the truth often does. I can't see how he's off here, despite having a distinctively strange flavour left in my mouth after reading that.

I think it's important to look at how he interpreted "daddy issues". I'm not sure if he chose to interpret it this way or if it was the person he was discussing it with, but they're basically discussing daddy role-playing, having a daddy fetish, or just generally dating old(er) guys as an indication of daddy issues. And I would agree with his end argument that this isn't bad and part of it is an important facet of a guy's role in life.

That said, I do think girls can have daddy issues. This isn't seen in the girls who date older guys. This is seen in the girls who always have intense, passionate, tumultuous, and unstable relationships with every guy they date regardless of age. These girls do typically have an issue with a parent.
