They offended you? Maybe you should cry yourself to sleep at night? Sorry but I just can't stand people who complain about being offended. It's such a dumb thing to say, so you got offended boohooo who gives a shit. I mean who the fuck cares what those girls think. They only met you for a few minutes at a party and saw you not kiss a girl because she was too drunk (which I respect btw. I would have probably done the same).

Now these girls who don't even know you say that you look like a nice guy (which in their eyes is a complement). It's also convenient for them because they don't have to drag their friend around. Also she might think that she is doing you a favor by isolating you and her friend.

I think that 1) you are reading too much into her comment. 2) you are being a fucking pussy for "being offended" which is reserved for weaklings who can't stand up for themselves, take life to seriously and actually give fucks about what other people think about them.

tl;dr You have the right to be offended and you also have the right to cry about it in your sleep and write angry letters to newspapers or post about your but hurt feelings on reddit.

btw. Sorry for being harsh, I just can't stand it when someone publicly announces the fact that he is offended.

Sounds like the friends wanted some food and they didn't feel like dragging their tragic alcoholic hot friend around, so they pawned her off on you. The comment about you being a "nice guy" was just a rationalization to enable them to leave their drunk friend with a random stranger without feeling guilty about it.

A lot of hot girls have drinking problems. Next time, check to see if a girl's drunk before you commit to hitting on her. You probably would have been better off hitting on one of her friends. Sure, they didn't look as good, but it's a whole lot more fun to spend your time with a chick who isn't plastered.

The answer is pretty much always "No or You shouldn't care" if someone is asking "should I feel XX" or "how should I feel about YY"

If you don't know how you should feel, you probably dont have strong feelings on it at all, and should just let that shit go.

Okay, here's the deal.

No, you shouldn't be offended, for a few reasons.

You should not be giving an emotional response. Don't get all pissed off, that won't solve anything for anyone. Keep your frame as a strong man and demonstrate it. By being offended you are showing a very strange insecurity, especially after they were trying to compliment you.
You have no idea how they meant it, and we can only postulate given the situation. Sounds like this is an isolated incident, so brush it off. If it becomes a pattern then you can address it.

Bottom line, shit happens. Some things are due to you and some are due to circumstances. This particular incident sounds like it is of the latter, and the underlying problem here is not that you came off as a nice guy, but that you are insecure about being the nice guy. Who cares? Brush it off.
