trp is learning how to conduct business within the sexual marketplace so you get the best deal possible; basically its sexual economic theory.

putting what you learn into practice is up to you.

[–]TankVet5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sexual strategy is part of the red pill. But it isn't everything.

[–]Gyaltso3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

it's simpler than that. it doesnt have to be about strategy and conduct. In fact i dont think that it should be. deep down the redpill philosophy is pretty pure and straightforward.

You read the truth about the game, learn how to develop some true and honest confidence for yourself, build with what you got, deciding to do so will give purpose, pursue your purpose with passion, then.. profit. strive and prosper, and pay no mind to the pussy. let it pay attention to you.

It should have nothing to do with seducing females and learning certain behaviors so you can put on the facade of the "alpha". Do as i say and you will become The Alpha.

If later on you want somehow a way to carry on your legacy, do some research, interview some candidates, find a nice girl that you can trust to raise your kids, test out the sex, make sure its right for you, make some babies, let her do what she should do best, be there when you need to be there, keep the pussy in check. continue to strive and prosper.

The Red Pill: Discussion of sexual strategy in a culture increasingly lacking a positive identity for men.

It's in the sidebar - TRP's primary focus is sexual strategy.

[–]Gyaltso-5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

never read the sidebar, but im feeling like i got the essence of this shit. meanwhile you missed it cause your mind is still centered around the pussy. think about it, girls dont want a strategic beta that wants to get in her pants, they want an alpha and they want to try and get in his. redpill can teach you just how to become an alpha. but unfortunately most just use the redpill so they can learn how to behave like one.

[–]autoNFA0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, you probably won't reach the top of the pile until you're able to do this shit without thinking, but you're not going to get there without conscious application and assessment.

It's like learning any other skill. First you screw up without realizing how you're screwing up, then you screw up but know where you're going wrong, then you work consciously at correcting your flaws as you identify them until excellence is second nature. Unconscious incompetence -> conscious incompetence -> conscious competence -> unconscious competence. You have to walk before you can run.

[–]Gyaltso2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I get what you're saying. And all I'm saying is, if you go straight to the root of the problem, most of this shit can be solved without thinking. However, knowing certain behaviors and displaying them will serve as a positive feedback loop to serve you in your process of becoming a man who can do all this without thinking.

[–]Evers890 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think that should be updated. A lot of the things we preach here will lead to better sexual encounters, but it's something you work up to.

Sexual strategy is a huge summation.

[–]autoNFA0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There's already /r/becomeaman.

[–]vaker4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Looked through the posts and what got up and down voted.

I'm among those who think this sub in practice covers somewhat broader topics than just what's mentioned at the sidebar. Those who want to focus solely on sex and seduction IMO would be much better served at /r/seduction.

[–]thecajunone1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. We can be more than /r/seduction2. I dream of something bigger.

TRP is a collection of ideas. What you apply it to is your choice. "The red pill" symbolizes choosing reality (what exists in front of you) over fantasy (what you think SHOULD exist, what other people think exists, what society tells you).

So you take it from there. If you want TRP to be about how to navigate your career, meet a good woman, have kids, raise good kids, etc, then that is fine. TRP is not an academic discipline, but if it were, it would be most similar to a social science like economics (not quite a hard science, but not subjective in the way English is). An economist might spend his life studying economic theory and it's application, but the rest of us will learn the basic ideas of economics and then apply them to our chosen discipline and life.

TRP is just a collection of ideas. To collect those ideas and then do nothing... well, then TRP accomplishes nothing in your life and won't be "about" anything. If you apply TRP to getting laid, TRP may be "all about" sex and women to you. If you're married, TRP can be about how to hold frame and have a mutually fulfilling marriage. If you're fat and weak, TRP can be about getting disciplined, strong, and ripped.

The reason TRP will generally gravitate towards casual sex (spinning plates) is because that is what most guys want and have trouble acheiving in our modern society. But that doesn't mean TRP theory is limited to casual sex.

What is this subreddit all about?
Read the sidebar - do the homework.
Lurk. Join the conversation. Then decide for your self. The Red Pill is just an admission that the truth is out there. You decide what it is and what to do with it.

[–]IAmNotBlackPhillip5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This subreddit tells me how "feminism" is screwing up our society more so than Monsanto is screwing up our food and I completely agree.

Monsanto's a terrible company, but at least Monsanto is trying to artificially improve food.

Feminist Monsanto would say you should just eat rotten, rancid produce and not shame it for falling short of society's oppressive patriarchal standards.

[–]2emptyform1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Paraphrasing Jack Donovan here, buta large part of the conflict is that feminism focuses on trying to create "good men", not men who are "good at being men". TRP is focused on becoming better at being a man because that is what is more important in all aspects of life.

[–]Endorsed ContributorVarrian1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TRP promotes putting yourself first in a society that has programmed us to think that conforming to it's absurd restrictions are in our best interest.

You'll get some very biased views in this sub but the underlying message is to always improve yourself. Things get obscured sometimes with the hate for feminists, and sometimes all women, but the true essence of wisdom here is to be the best version of yourself you can be.

You'll here a lot about the Sexual Market Place and Sexual Strategy but all that does is help you to realize how much you've been brainwashed to believe that you have no options in life besides for the ones given to you.

The Red Pill is you waking up to a world with endless possibilities.

[–]TankVet2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think that the red pill is much more than sexual strategy. It's a way of living your life, not a magic trick to make women fall in love with you. It's a moderate viewpoint with exceptional conviction. It is a way of changing your life to enable you to be more than and better than you are. It's about how to think in order to become and to be a man.

[–]deepsouthscoundrel3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TRP is about sexual strategy.

[–]Ethan470 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

read the sidebar materials

[–]throwwhatthere-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dude. The term "The Red Pill" is not meant to emphasize that the truth is painful.

In fact, swallowing the pill opens you up to a better life than staying plugged in ever could. The pill is liberation from a lie. And that lie isn't beautiful. If you still think it is, you aren't quite there yet. Once you swallow the pill, you realize how empty and sad the lie is. You pity those still plugged in.
