Your friend has game and is also an asshole. Just because he is emotionally abusive doesn't mean that's what is required to game. You can still be a nice person and pull in pussy all day. The difference is don't be a "nice guy".
[–]WindowsDoctor[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
I have no idea what a "nice guy" means. A doormat perhaps? That, I am not but I do genuinely like being a good person because I find it to be personally fulfilling.

If you don't know what a "nice guy" is, you haven't been around here long enough.
[–]deepsouthscoundrel 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You can be a nice, happy, positive person without being a doormat and letting the world walk all over you. Respect yourself, and the world will have no choice but to respect you as well.

A "Nice Guy" is a weak man who acts nice as strategy to get women. He instinctively realizes that he isn't strong enough to attract women naturally, so he becomes "nice". This entails basically groveling under their feet and worshiping them like they were magic. These men will do anything for women, help them in any way. Need help moving house? Nice Guy will be there. Need someone to complain to about your boyfriends? Nice Guy will be there.
This technique rarely works. Women will ignore the nice things these men do for them and will instead see only their weakness.
[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's not that they ignore the nice things. They take the nice things for granted due to an entitlement mentality forged over the years thanks to a constant swarm of beta orbiters.

Here's an example. An attractive female friend/acquaintance is dating a guy she's not really interested in. She starts seeing another guy on the side. She confides this in you, or you find out from observation. A beta approach would be to coddle her hamster and tell her it's 'ok' to do what she 'feels' is right. An Alpha approach would be to call her out on it, tell her if she was really interested in either of them she wouldn't have any interest in the other. Tone and setting would be important too, do it in an authoritative manner, as if you were her father or the police instructing her of her wrongdoings, do it obviously and loudly in a public setting in front mutual friends/acquaintances to set your frame. Then just simply forget she exists either forever, or until she comes to you begging for your acceptance. This will both distance you from 'sluts' who, trust me, in the long run you will want nothing to do with, and attract submissive girls to you. Make sure NOT to be whiny and complaining about things, instead be commanding and instructive, the message might SEEM the same but the delivery is the most crucial part.
[–]Sunny_McJoyride -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Why would she confide this in you? Admit it, you're secretly in love with her.
[–]AcidentallyMyAccount 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
From my personal experience pretty much any girl will tell pretty much any guy pretty much anything. I believe RPT labels it Solipsism.

I believe you've spent to much time on theory and too little time on practice.

Women desire strength. It takes strength to act like an asshat. If a weakling starts acting like a jackass, he'll get stomped down. Thus, being an asshat is proof of strength. It isn't the bad behavior that women like, it is the fact that it is indicative of strength.
You don't have to turn into an asshole to appeal to women, you simply need to grow stronger.
Any woman it isn't mentally disturbed would rather be with a strong good man than a strong bad man.

The major factor is what the guy looks like. A guy that looks like Danny DeVito and has the attitude of Danny DeVito but not the money or fame is going to be a "stupid creepy asshole." A guy with the same attitude but looking like a male model is going to get more ass than a toilet seat.
[–]Apostrophe 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, strength can come from many sources. You can simply be physically strong and tall. Or you could have money. Or power. Or superb social skills.
Being an asshole is just one way to demonstrate that you have it - where you got it is another matter.

Don't let somebody else decide for you. It's up to you to determine what's right by your own code. Just be sure that your code isn't based on what society is telling you is right - how you treat women should be yours to decide, and should be based on how they act and what they should receive in response.
The dark triad works on a lot of women, because a lot of women follow general behavior patterns. It's not the end-all be-all of redpill philosophy.

this is something YOU can test in a few weekend affairs.
For a desired outcome, does being nice work more than being playfully unkind (from the perspective of the nice-guy) and if needed, to show your conviction to yourself and values over someone else's, be assertive to the point of making someone cry.
pro tip: You will never be equally attractive to one of the women he has been through by being only nice. Once they are done crying and you have logically outlined a path through the mess, it's simply a matter of waiting for them to come around to accept your frame for all it is. They become thankful, submissive, respectful and feel closer to you for going through a tough time together and making them a better person.

Learn how to be a friendly dominant. Not only is such a thing possible, it's basically catnip to most women.
Often younger guys mistake "alpha" and "dominant" for "asshole." It's not that women are attracted to assholes, it's that they are attracted to dominant men, whether they are friendly or assholes hardly matters.
(Disclaimer: Some women don't want a dominant man; those are exactly the kind of women you want to avoid.)

Dark Triad is attractive, but there's other things that are happening.
They're just ignorant, and there's no way to do this in an easy fashion where "nice" and "special" doesn't seem like you're trying too hard/being cool/whatever. It's just their ignorance at work.
They want an adventure. So, you have to make it an adventure. "Nice" is boring. Be something positive but adventurous.

Really mate I beg to differ - I'm nice because that's simply my personality. Society is cruel and punishing to people who are nice but I choose to be a good person because it enhances my sense of self worth - that despite all of the negative societal cues to be a worse person, I want to be good. Period. It's not because of girls or to manipulate (aka asslick) higher ups - it's because that simply how I was built.
Yes, I understand your second point, and it honestly bothers me. I'm simply not into dramatics - I'd have been a theatre major if I was so inclined. I just want to live a nice, calm peaceful life with no bullshit if you understand what I mean.

As I've learned, and am still learning, the red pill just is. You can deal with it how you see fit, but you're out of the sleep chamber and you can't make a deal with Agent Smith to get back in. How you deal with it, it really up to you.

"I just want to live a nice, calm peaceful life with no bullshit if you understand what I mean."
As someone who is on the journey, trust me, life is not meant to be nice, calm and peaceful - but yes, having been in this mindset myself, I know exactly what you mean.
If you haven't done so already, please read 'No More Mr Nice Guy', it's what started me on my journey and dispelled for me the whole 'Nice Guy' frame of being nice gets you what you want. It's a worthwhile prelude to the content in this subreddit.

There is a difference between being nice as a strategy to get what you want (often deluding yourself that you dont expect anything back) and being positive and loving without any expectations but for your own enjoyment. The first reeks of neediness and manipulation while the other can show confidence and strength. If you do someone a favor it should be done because it doesn't cost you anything but instead be favorable for you as well (either through a return favor or because you genuinely enjoy doing it). This creates cooperation instead of making the other person feel a sense of guilt or being in dept. People like you more when they invest more in the relationship instead of the other way around. Being a "nice guy" is actually dickish and dishonest while being honest and sometimes through that a little dickish is the nicest thing you can do.
You can get girls without being a dick. Just be honest with them and manage their expectations.

There's more ways than the "dark triad" approach to being Alpha. There has been an influx of 'be happy' approaches on this sub recently, and that's a good start. There was a National Geographic video about being Alpha where they showed a guy complimenting his whole group of wannabe alpha's as a way to pretty much set his frame as the leader. Truly you CAN be 'good guy' and swallow The Red Pill. DO NOT white knight. Never EVER excuse ANYONE's bad behaviours, especially not females. Hold yourself to a higher standard, see yourself as someone of high value to society. Women actually DO like nice guys, they DON'T like emotional tampons and/or doormats. There IS a difference, learn it. Being a 'nice guy' will never work quite as well as "dark triad" but it WILL work.

Maybe your friend wasn't always like that, maybe it came from the "15x" more experience, maybe the more experience helped him to better understand their hypergamic solipsistic nature...So he knows what works, what doesn't, and what's worth getting upset about - "...when the waterworks come out, I melt."
[–]FortunateBum 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Do I really need to have a more..er... "dark triad" personality to attract women?
Yes.
Women are ultimately attracted to status so there are other ways to communicate your high status.
