OP: I generally agree with this post, but I don't think this is just because our ideologies say to put women on a pedestal. Instead, the problem is that these ideologies ignore important parts of human psychology that say that a woman who was a sex worker is most likely unable to form a genuine emotional connection with a man in the future. If it were possible or common, these commenters would have a point; but the problem is that modern day feminism just chooses to ignore much of the science.

The interesting thing is that traditional conservatism places women on a pedestal more. Because tradcons believe that women are inherently different, they think the solution to the problem is to give women special privileges and special responsibilities. The problem is that the modern world does not enforce these special responsibilities, so if you follow the tradcon way you are giving women special privileges but for nothing in return.

Another interesting thing is that modern feminism borrows this pedestalization of women from tradcons but strips it of the responsibilities that women have.
