The year is literally 2022.
You are in Jean Baudrillard's slave system: watch and interact.
Depending on the socio-political scenario around you, the linguistics of the manner are all different but the problem remains. Whether the problem is mental unhappiness with a side taste of inability to act upon it, or juridical-economic where you could be potentially suffering a death by a thousand bureaucrats followed by a nausea that is alienation from logic on theirs behalf. Anyways whatever the problem is, it is diagnosed by genuine unhappiness that is stagnating your potential and human experience.
All of these petty, unfashionable, limiting experiences, whatever they might be have one thing in common: the goal here is to make you drained, depleted of life energies and mental energy and ban your soul into the shadow realms without a end at sight.
However as a scholar of Nietzsche, I know that this banning of your soul into the shadow realms could be repeated infinitely, and for the next 9999+ lifetimes you could experience, whatever problems you have could have, become multi-life permanent, if you're not already playing out life on repeat mode like a cassette set on play again, then you might be in luck and wiggle yourself out of any unfashionable situations.
The Nietzschean Eternal Return is commonly seen as a image of an ouroboros. The paradoxical reality of his existence is that hes eating himself, yet this provides him energy. Anyways, the thing going on here is that hes transforming himself into a new-now, and every moment is him in the moment becoming new again. The instrument of death which is the act of swallowing himself turns into the instrument of life as he becomes rejuvenated from it and stronger.
As the act of action and the act of sophisticated action are gateways into rejuvenation, then these elements are castrated by what Baudrillard calls a slave (-system): someone who watches and interacts with the spectacle.
The slave does not act. The slave does not think of what hes doing, he is merely participating in a world outside of himself, which tells him what to do.
This slavery used to be about mining coal in caves and dying some time after, fighting in gladiator arenas, building pyramids with other slaves. But now in the year 2022 it is some sort of a potentially dull experience with no proper long term reward system. Such as donating money / attention to content creators on art gallery platforms? Not being able to go to the gym because of lockdowns for a disease that might last 1-2 months max on its own. Not living in a society that ruthlessly pushes academic education on its populace rather than propaganda-education.
The question now becomes, if you can diagnose yourself to be living in a unjust set of behavioral patterns that are influenced by sociology and economic-ideology-systems, then who is rejuvenating at the expense of your stagnation?
There's the minimalist (localized) interpretation of whosoevers the elite is putting money into their treasuries at your expense. Then there's the maximalist (universalized) interpretation that the economic-ideology-system (capitalism) is a self-independent system that functions on its own and expands on its own without a self-governing body besides the rules of economy themselves. If you take the localized approach, you should realize that there are people benefiting from your loserdom and thus you should move to a place with better conditions. If you take the universalist approach, you can approach life as a challenge and give it your best shot, not taking anything personally, and finding new ways to deviate out of zero sum gains, aka keeping some of your income whether it be relationships/psychological/salary to yourself. However what if I similarly asked you which came first, the chicken or the egg? Obviously its a false question and a rhetorical one at that. Hence the correct answer to how to stop stagnation is to ouroboros yourself and enjoy destroying weak elements, beliefs in yourself in the realization that it will be replaced with stronger alternatives.
How do you destroy weak elements in yourself in exchange for stronger ones?
You find building blocks from the unknown.
Where to find the unknown: theredpill's reading list, verso books, zerobooks, etc.
However, it tells you what to read but not how to read.
To read you need to be in good cardiovascular state of body. Get a rope and jump over it. Do this until you can get 10 mins minimum.
Now your brain is trained to withstand exhausting situations. Read Mark Fishers Capitalist Realism Is There No Alternatives? Great book, my post was influenced by it.
Take notes of the key points. Then also take notes on all the mentioned authors such as Nietzsche, etc. This will let you dig deeper into the concepts written in the books themselves, once ur done reading.
Now you have a ouroboros situation, the cardiovascular training helps you read more, the reading helps you jump more rope by having the difficult to find building blocks from books rebuild the weaker parts of your psyche/body for stronger ones.
Congratulations, I just thought you how to do Nietzsche's Eternal Return and made you immortal. You're welcome!
