As most of you know, the United States has a very high divorce rate: roughly %50. This leads to many young boys without the father figure they traditionally learned how to become a man from. Now don't get me wrong, I'm sure many of you here grew up in single mother homes and turned out fine. My point is that there are a large number of men out there who never broke away from that environment. In thinking about this, I decided to throw a small list of lessons I've learned from my very RP father in the hopes that some of the men here get some reading benefit out of it. If it's enjoyed, I may make another post of some more.

1) You and you alone determine if you have the drive to better your life.

My father grew up extremely poor. Like my shoes have holes in them poor. Long story short, he busted his ass and ended up as a partial owner of a small business. In red pill terms, his social value increased astronomically from what was virtually zero. On top of this, he did this while having a physical disability. You have no excuses.

This, he said, was tied into being a man who is wiling to take risks. In applying this to women, it's pretty easy to see the correlation between not being willing to approach women and not meeting women. If you're not willing to risk losing something, you'll never gain anything worth having. Luckily, it's only your pride that will take a hit if you get shot down while talking to the cutie standing by the bar. Success, much like women, will not automatically fall into your lap without any effort on your part (save a few exceptions: ex, inheriting money).

2) People who constantly say "what if" and excessively look at the past are only looking for an excuse as to why they aren't doing anything different now.

Let's face it, we've all been there. Everyone has a time in their life where they wish they had done something different. But, it's important to look at that situation, learn from it, and move on. You don't want to be the guy who has an excuse for everything while his alpha peers are busting their ass and moving forward.

How many times have you heard that old line "Well, I could have done X if Y happened"? Don't be that guy.

3) Never be afraid to walk away.

My mother and father had a rocky marriage. Commonly you'd hear it attributed to him working long hours and a whole slew of other commonly stated female reasons, but it eventually led to my mother asking for a divorce. I think the outcome is best derived from something he once told me: "I've never been one to beg someone to stay.". As predicted, the courts raped him. She got the house, a large amount of his money, the kids, child support etc.

Instead of moping around, he picked himself up very fast and was quickly seeing other women. This, I believe, was made easy by his high social value. As my brother stated: "His apartment seemed to have a revolving door.". While my mother remarried in under a year, my father was banging broads all across town. Including his female divorce lawyer.

This came to fruition with my mother leaving her new husband and coming back to my father. This time, on his terms. Things have been in balance ever since.

I'm not advocating getting back together with your ex wife, I'm simply stating that it's a whole lot better to be getting your rocks off with new women than it is to be moping around your house getting your rocks off to porn. Who knows, I've never been divorced.

In conclusion, I'm still very much learning and applying these lessons myself. But, hopefully this gives a few of you guys around TRP a few things to contemplate.

From the articles I've read so far on TRP, it seems 98% of them are based around the actual understanding of women and pursing them (with good reason - that's basically the mission statement). But, don't forget to Red Pill the rest of your life as well; It's my understanding that it builds a base for you to successfully handle the rest.

To this day, it still amazes me how much my father gets hit on by younger women even though he's 66 years old. Having women randomly approach him at the store to flirt, ask if he needs help (even though they don't work there), or create small talk is just another day for him. It could also be attributed to the fact that he doesn't wear a wedding ring.

Funny enough, this may just be a genius move showing that he always has options.
