I have learned a thing that will help many beginners! Heck it may even help the people that are seasoned.

There is a disconnect that happens a lot on this forum between theory and rubber meeting the road. We have 90k subbed to this reddit. assuming like 20% aren't believers/purple, 20% are newbies, 20% are believers with obsessive lurking and 40% that actually believe and practice this knowledge. Why so few field reports? That's 36k men that have theoretically swallowed the pill and constantly self improve yet we get 1 absurd/useful field report a day.(the last notable one was from the dark triad that wanted to cuckold a beta)

While I may have no interest in such a way of living that doesn't mean I can't learn a thing from the guy.

We should have new quality posts all the time.

Brothers. Here is the disconnect I've learned that I need to undo. I assume I'm not alone in this. I approached a girl last weekend talked with her. She seemed interested. Hung up on her friend. Laughed a lot. Big smile. I realized I was talking a lot. I even DHV when I ask her what she does and she says teacher. I celebrate it with her in a childish way. "Wow! That's an amazing thing! You must have the weight of the world on your shoulders"(I can't remember what I actually said, but you get the idea).

Afterwards I stop talking and stare at her. Remember she hasn't invested so you must be willing to leave. Finally she says "uhhh, so what do you do?" My calm and indifferent response "Oh, I am just an engineer now." I expected her to be impressed. She wasn't. I noticed . She doesn't try to keep the conversation going. In an attempt to turn it into a joke. I say "you've never had a conversation before have you?" with a grin. "Well you walked over here so..." (She genuinely expected me to invest more without her even investing much)

"Oooohhhh" I say like I just had an epiphany then I get up and leave.

And in this moment, I realize that straight up. It's not good enough to be willing to leave. You actually have to just get up and leave. Don't try to salvage the plane crash. Don't try to not fail. If I had tried to salvage it, I'd have just looked desperate. If she was really as into the conversation as she appeared she'd have stopped me from leaving. I didn't even get her name.

tl;dr until you've actually just left a girl hanging. You won't truly know what it means to be willing to walk away.
