Today, I was at the dog park, and noticed my dog was acting alpha for most of the time, even to dogs larger his size etc - typical traits that can be reflected in men - tail up, not concerned with little dog fights, checking up on situations if any went down, and generally being happy being alpha.

At some point two large dogs, one in particular that looked part wolf / malamute, came in and clearly was like that natural alpha walking into a room. The dogs, including mine paid tribute accordingly. At one point my dog thought about challenging him, and from 50 feet away my dog looked at him. The alpha, without even moving, he was doing this low pitch, low volume growl toward my dog. My dog was literally paralyzed with fear and afraid to move.

My question is, do you think a similar technique would work with humans? I have seen people refer to alpha posturing and voice deepening and projection, but was wondering if there would be something on some caveman level - to emit a kind of inaudible growl when having a staredown with a competitor. Like in a night club or dinner party, when that guy who actually might be a threat (not a beta orbiter, white knight etc) gets in your face and you have that moment - I think i will try doing this low pitch growl to see if it gets picked up by people on that sub conscious level.

Has anyone tried anything like this or have stories related to vocal intimidation to other males or assertion over females in the pack mentality?

Edit - I'm supplying a link to an Article on Fox News to prove I'm not making this stuff up and that there is facts behind what I'm saying. " Men Growl, Whine Like Dogs to Determine Dominance "
