Lowering your standards

I don't think it's unusual to want to raise "standards", esp after a bad dating experience/marriage/co-parenting experience.

But "unusual" and "practical" are rarely the same thing.

Consider this, if a man tells a single mom that her status and ability to draw in a mate she wants has decline, he will be ignored at best, or demeaned or personally attacked in some way.

If a woman tells a single mom this, well women don't do this to each other. They hate each other in silent seething passive aggressive ways.

If someone is "ignorant" ( i.e. they simply don't know any better) and society has set it up so that there is ZERO incentive to ever tell them anything, it's probably not that uncommon to see folks out there who have bad dating options and don't understand their social status has taken a massive hit.

Women, many of them, have unrealistic standards because they often do the rejecting and not the pursuit of sex/relationships. Men have a better understanding of where they stand because approach/rejection forces them to see how the marketplace truly operates. A guy has to come to terms that there are certain elements in the dating/mating world he's not going to get at his current status.

Guy A asks out girls who are around a 7 in status. He gets rejected all the time. No luck. He does with 6's, no luck. He does with 5's and he has some luck. 5's are about what he can get at that current status.

Girl A simply says, the right guy hasn't come along yet. She doesn't want to face that the guys who she really wants only want her for disposable sex or would never commit to her or would not even bother with her.

I think one of the base problems is the most desirable thing for a single mother should want is outstanding character. Be a person of good character and a lot of the other issues fade away. Except the issue of attraction, which is not negotiable. But as Chris Rock says, women want it ALL. And if they settle ( maybe in their own mind), they'll eventually resent you for it.

Basically , core TRP theories are true, esp the one where the only functional way a LTR can work, or a marriage, if a guy wants to risk it, is to have higher SMV/RMV than the woman. And if he does, why would most men even want to bother?

Which goes back to another core TRP truth - Don't argue with women. Don't try to reason with them. Don't try to use logic with them. They just don't care. They don't want to hear you. Unless it's what they believe, no matter what evidence is in front of them, you are wrong. Same with any guy who is basically a woman in his behavior, same kind of methodology applies.

In most cases, there is very little reason to ever argue with another person, esp a woman. Respect that they have their right to their view, even if they will never respect yours, and walk away.

She is hamstering that her new found sensibleness increases her value, while completely ignoring the fact that the results of her past mistakes (multiple kids etc) actually significantly reduce her SMV.

Theres concrete baggage (kids, debt, health conditions) lower value and rightfully so. Im not dating Suzy the amputee anytime soon.

Then theres abstract baggage that are potential turning points and can raise value (bad breakups, crazy ex's, abusive parents). Most of us on here benefitted from a brutal blue pill relationship early in our lives

Typically as one goes deeper into a hole and has fewer options the ego kicks in and needs to compensate.

So "higher standards" is a "feel good" aspiration. (ego protection)

In reality... the person is going down... down... down...

People on the way up are realistic about their options.

Drugs amplify the failures of those falling down... increases the descent speed.

See this is another additional reason why women's SMV goes down with age even if they still look good, appearance aside their personalities change. They become less feminine, acquire more baggage, become more entitled, and not to mention less stable as their body count rises. Women like this and the blue pill cuck boys who are naive enough to pursue them are f.u.c.k FUCKED if you ask me...To each his own though, everyone has their role to play....

the women with lots of baggage are still women. and that means they have a warm hole between their legs. and that warm hole means there are thirsty dudes out there willing to put up with all that baggage.

yes, she has to lower her standards, but only to bring them down down the insane heights that were actually possible pre-wall pre-baggage.

There's a whole world centered around feeding female entitlement. Online dating, Facebook, preferential hiring for decent paying jobs where you do nothing, You Go Girl and "fat acceptance" message pumped through the propaganda amplifiers 24/7. Sports Illustrated featured a 200 lb FeWhale in body paint for its fucking swimsuit edition just last month.

I don't really blame women. Imagine the reverse, where the Sexiest Man Alive on magazine covers is a 5'3 forklift operator with a potbelly, and whenever you go out, thirsty women out of your league hit on you even if you're a loser with a high pitched voice. Our egos would be out of this world as well. This is the golden age for women (at least on the sexual level, they end up unhappy and alone in the end) and the dark age for most men.

There is some natural aspect to this, but evo psy isn't the only explanation. Part of this imbalance is constructed by the system to prevent family stability and disenfrachise men. Putting power in the hands of women on their own is great for the status quo, since they are pliable, easy to control and frankly, childlike in their stupidity.

Beyond that Girl 1 probably thinks her kids will be the greatest human beings that will ever live, inventing new ways to cure cancer or some BS. Girl 2 doesn't sound very entitled to me....just depressing.
