A smattering of advice to help RP's make the most of LTRs. A RP man can enjoy one far more than a BP man could ever hope to.

BODY

Spinning plates is the dominate mantra of this sub, and with good reason. Newbies who start spinning lose their lofty ideals of what they think women are, and see the reality of the dating world. Women get pretty much whatever they want whenever they want it. Spinning helps newbies gain power and perspective. Seasoned players can extract what they want from women. It's nice to get what you want.

Why Choose an LTR?

There are several reasons to want an LTR:

-Emotional stability -Maintaining image/Reputation -Raising a family -Disassociation with sluts

Emotional Stability

A good woman smooths hard corners in a man's life. She'll cook him meals, fuck like a pornstar, clean, and help out a bit. Good first mates are valued tools in a captain's arsenal. An Ltr who does these things for her man eases small tensions and strains in a man's life.

STD's (aside from HIV and hep c) aren't fatal and don't cause lifelong bodily harm. They do, however, come with massive social stigma. Though mostly unwarranted, this stigma can cause you undue stress. It can also limit your dating pool significantly. A committed ltr should be tested and clean. This negates dealing with the fallout of catching an std.

Maintaining Image/Reputation

Your reputation is everything in this life. It can work marvels for you, or destroy you. Having seen the inner workings of upper management in lots of places, I can tell you men who are married/in long term LTRs and appear stable in their marriage/ltr will more often than not rise faster than their single peers. It subconsciously conveys maturity, certainty and responsibility to your boss. You appear as a whole package. It conforms with the ideals of the previous generation, who for now, still hold most of the key positions.

Raising a family

Families with strong father/mother figures do far better than fractured families. LTR are vital for proper child rearing. If you want kids, making a strong bond with a woman is necessary.

Disassociation with sluts

Sluts are worthless in the long run. There's a reason women lie about their number. Sluts can't pair-bond properly and only have one resource: pussy. If you've browsed some of the archived posts here, even average women by age 30 can fuck upwards of 300 men. 1/5 people have genital herpes. 40% of women over age 35 have it. Sluts are emotionally immature and volatile. You're only one false rape accusation away from losing everything.

FRAMEWORK FOR HOLDING POWER IN AN LTR

Soft dread:

  • Work out and eat right. A tight body is an eye magnet. Walking in public with clothes that fit right compliment your physique and other women will notice. Your woman will notice this and instinctively work to keep your mind on her by being more sexual.

  • Keep a good network of friends of both genders. Social proof.

  • Every couple of weeks head out to do something by yourself. Doses of aloofness keep her pining for your attention.

Holding Frame

Unlike plates, LTRs require a more surgical approach than the my-way-or-goodbye approach that keeps plates in line. You're going to be shit-tested. It's imperative you learn to set firm boundaries right off the bat. From there, it's okay to make small concessions every now and then to keep things going well. You're going to have to emotionally commit in an ltr. Remember to reward the best of her traits with yours.

Don't buckle to her bullshit. Outrageous demands are to be met with silence. If she threatens you with a punishment for not doing something, she's shit testing. If she complains you aren't there enough or don't spend enough time with her, it's a shit test. Respond accordingly.

You set the tempo

How you act is what determines the mood and outcome of everything. If you are calm, she'll be calm. If you lose your shit, she probably will too. If there's a hole in the ship and the captain is running around screaming with no direction, his men will descend into chaos. If the captain remains calm and poised while dealing with the situation, his men will follow the example that has been set. Lead with a calm collected demeanor and she will follow you.

Heavy dread

Reserve this for instances that require a reset by letting her know you can get what you want elsewhere if need be. If she's been distant for a while or withholding sex, heavy dread game can bring her back into the fold.

Examples: Going to a bar without her, leaving for the night without telling her your plans, being extra flirty with other girls in front of her.

Succeed in your craft

Whatever your vocation or desired one, make it your aim to become a master. Be the guy everyone turns to for help. You will command the respect of peers and outsiders as a master by virtue of what you can do.
