"Where have all the good men gone?"- While this quib is thrown around recklessly, oftentimes by understimulated/ overentitled post-wall or slutty women, it is rooted in a very grim reality of the world.

Masculinity is dead. In America, it's dead. Oh sure, we have cads, beta males, alpha males, CEOs, athletes, pussymen, all different types of men from the meakest to the strongest. Men on an individual level can be masculine.

But masculinity in itself is dead because the concept of masculinity does not exist anymore. I, like most guys, always looked around and just saw guys as guys. I always questioned why a woman would like a man--and I've had this conversation with so many other guys. Men have ugly bodies, they're just dudes. Women are beautiful and wonderful and different. Femininity is marvelous. The status quo is men as average and women as either really hot (therefore on a pedestal) or really ugly (therefore not worth society's time).

But this, my esteemed friends, is a LIE. Masculinity is sexy, it is sleek, and it is very defined and real. Men are not just the status quo. Masculinity is not socially constructed, it is real and it is rather rigid.

Ironically, women know this. Thats why they rationalize away so many decisions. Men who are not masculine are not real men. If you're masculine, you'll almost never fail a shit test even if youre the nicest person in the world.

I'm not really sure where we went wrong and where we lost masculinity as a concept in of itself, but the reason we make so many poor decisions as a society is because we lack a masculine-feminine duality. Instead, we just have the status quo and femininity. Femininity (and tempered feminism) in of itself are not negatives at all, they are necessary and great parts of society. But without masculinity, there is no masculine-feminine polarity and society misses out on half the picture.

Ancient Sparta was a deeply masculine society (with a healthy feminine element- see Lena Headey from 300). Masculinity had value and meaning- men were treated as valuable. Hopefully, we can create a world for our children where men are raised to be men.
