Good evening one and all,
This has been something I have wished to discuss for some time but for a variety of reasons I have neither had the time nor was I in the right state of mind to do so. I will attempt to be as coherent and formal as possible but as this is not technically a paper there will be some things that I will miss. Of these items I welcome an involved discussion as this is a topic that has only briefly been touched on here at TRP. With this in mind let us begin.
Guiding Question: to what extent is intergender interaction misunderstood and or influenced by mental illness
Introduction:
In my perusal of this sub and through my own experiences it is quite clear that society is out of touch as it concerns mental illness. Indeed much of what I see from field reports reinforces this in the form resultant general attitudes which are a direct derivative intergender interaction. There appears to be a clear and distinctive disconnect from what should be viewed from the lens of psychology versus how many of us are actually reading the world and its inhabitants: by throwing terms around to make ourselves feel better. Now, before I go any further I find much of the theory this community has created to be an almost priceless commodity. However like others I find it to not be enough. Further, I feel much of the content being posted to be fueled by base emotions rather then the logic and reasoning the Red Pill requires. It is my hypothesis that this is due to systemic mental illness.
Body:
Having taken some time to reflect on this proposed contribution I went back and forth as to if I would use the term mental illness or mental phenomena. In the end I settled with the former because it is the only thing that seems to fit. It may seem like a harsh accusation but please note that my hypothesis here is broad: I am not speaking in terms of schizophrenia or anything of the like but of the social conditioning which has literally rewired the way we think.
Despite this, it would be rather elementary of me to use the term without speaking a bit on the subject as it applies to individuals. Outside of the SMP mental illness is becoming rampant - we drug our children, we dull our brains with antidepressants and we "game" at the bar with alcohol. Can't sleep? Take sleeping pills. Terrible social skills: go see a cognitive behavioral therapist. The problem with this is from an aggregate perspective it's not working. Suicide is up, depression statistics are not going down and the formal studies (often) do not support the efficacy of these treatment methods. Time and time again smart science is trying to tell us that we are doing something very very wrong.
Instead of progress what is taught through the application of the above is that there is a solution to any problem you might have. In fact some of us would find it fascinating how many bad relationships end with a visit to the psychiatrist. There is no learning curve - society wants results now. This is evident from much of what one might see in some of the other contributions tonight: men who are angry, in denial, and looking for a quick fix to a problem which is far beyond their scope of understanding.
Coincidentally this has led to what I wish to discuss here today: that society is mentally ill. Think about it; what really was different fifty years ago? Not just contraception! Irrational behavior was not something condoned. It wasn't met with a pat on the back and a trip to the doctor but a swift kick in the ass. Women weren't allowed to act in the way they are today and men were chastised when if they supported the behavior. Worse still in a world where the sexes are supposedly coming together I've never seen them so separate. This has bred its own version of mental illness allowing the most manipulative of individuals (some who are often psychopathic) to infect the mindset of others because they are (through social and legal constructs) segmented enough to do as they please without consequence.
I am therefore using the term mental illness quite loosely but am I really? By default (and the DSM even agrees with me on this) it's a divergence from what is considered normal. This begs the question as to what normal actually is - something which must be measured based on the experiences and perspectives of decades not years. Everything is relative. Is it normal then to walk from a relationship lasting a decade without saying so much as goodbye only to engage in hypergamy? Is it normal to have beta orbiters? Is it normal that this community should even have to exist?
This is the key point that I think is missing. Certainly women have created a world which is to their perceived benefit, but how did it get this way? Is this rationalization reasonable? I'd say no. Further it's also not normal as it displays a preference for short term planning (another mental phenomena) to long term stability (intelligence). Of course, the interactions of mental illness and red pill thought do not end here and have direct implications with the sexual market place. This is because mental illness is not static and differs from person to person. One person may very well be psychopathic while another is simply delusional. To often have I heard a field report where a woman was clearly insane and instead the label AWALT is used. To often has a man after just getting out of a relationship wondered even after spinning plates why he is still not fulfilled. Why the red pill has failed him. Perhaps there is another reason. Perhaps we are not using the right words. Perhaps I am onto something.
In reality, Red Pill theory in its simplest form gives us our answer. Better yourself from the inside out - not the outside in. Build frame, lift, get out there etc, but for so many this is difficult when so many others are arguably "mentally ill". And who can blame them when the world around them is burning to the ground? Let us then broaden our perspectives and bring what we know in line with everything that is going on. Let us utilize all of the scientific disciplines to better our community around us. Let us now see the world for what it is.
Conclusion:
The Red Pill provides us a world of knowledge, but without acknowledging the role of mental health in our society we are missing key details which might help us to better ourselves and our fellow man. Finally, sometimes we have to simply acknowledge the fact that some problems cannot be addressed and that the pain we feel is a part of life. Society is sick, but with a combination of psychology and red pill theory we might better understand the world around us.
Final comments:
Looking at this now (that I am in the process of editing) I see some clear holes. There are so many other examples I can cite and some of these statements might lead us to redefine how we view SMV as well. Ultimately I decided against adding these items as I wanted to focus on something that almost always touches our sexual experiences but is often brushed off with the typical response of AWALT. I think the community needs to dive deeper into intellectual development rather then focusing on the usual talking points which are parroted. I do not however speak for all as there are some truly excellent posters on this sub. If this submission receives enough interest I will build upon it and add references.
Thank you for your time.
