I want to share a story about one of my friends. We'll call him Jack. Jack is a decent fella. He's average looking, about 6'1", fairly intelligent but he never had a lot of luck with girls. He's only ever had one girlfriend (oneitis) who dumped him for another guy (surprise, surprise). This tore his world down for quite some time, but eventually he decided he wanted to get back out there. In this time I tried my best to pull him out of his blue pill world, but he just wasn't responsive. He kept telling me how great she was, blah blah blah...

Eventually I convinced him to join us when we went out. He tagged along to bars, clubs etc. What did he do? Nothing. He didn't fuck a single girl. Fuck? Who am I kidding? He could barely get through half the conversation without fucking it up. He was being way too nice and putting them up on a pedestal. I talked to him numerous times and told him to knock it off. Stop being so nice. Stop treating them like they're better than you, because they're not. Most of these girls are fucking airheads. We had a lot of talks about feminism, the relations between men and women and dating dynamics in general. I slowly started telling him the truth and opening his eyes up (without any mention of TRP or use of any terminology, he's not ready for that). I even convinced him to come to the gym with me and now he's going 3-4 times a week. He seemed receptive and slowly started agreeing with me more. Where at first he rushed to defense of women, he was now admitting some of these concepts had some truth to them.

Lo and behold. One night we go out and he does almost exactly as told. He approaches girls with fake confidence but it's enough. He approaches a girl and doesn't treat her like a goddess (she was very receptive). In fact, he even tells her to call back her friend because she's prettier (we discussed some PUA, he needed a shortcut to avoid falling back). The girl gets up calls him an asshole and walks off. He gives me a "it's not working man" look. I go to sit next to him at the bar and tell him it's fine. It's just one girl and he shouldn't give a single fuck about it. And as if it was a cue in a movie... one of the friends of the girl he treated like shit sat next to my friend and asked if he really said that to her. He seemed nervous and I considered that she might throw a drink in his face so I immediately got ready to grab him and pull him off the stool to save him that embarrassment, but he answers "Yeah, I did" and what does she do? She takes him up on his offer and has a drink with him.

I smiled and walked off to let them talk without me awkwardly sitting beside him. About 10-15 minutes later I return and they're still talking. He was even getting physical (an advice he always ignored before, for whatever goddamn reason). Later on they danced and eventually I see him kissing her in a corner. You can guess how the rest of the night went for him. I will admit I felt a great satisfaction seeing this and I couldn't help but think of TRP. The knowledge and understanding I have gathered here is saving my friend and helping him become more confident. He has a long way to go, but he's going to get there. Some day I will introduce him to this sub.
