My theory on LTR vs Single/plate spinning

When in a LTR I have a feeling that is hard to describe but is almost a feeling of being 'defeated'. I know where my next bang is coming from and I don't have to work for it or stay on top of my game. I don't have to put any effort into meeting women or improving myself in any major way. It becomes monotonous.

letting yourself go is a sure fire way to get cheated on or dropped. Being in an LTR is even more reason to push yourself and approach. It's far easier to chat up women while in an LTR, there's no pressure.

100% agreed.

Been in three LTRs and each of them started and ended the same way. I'm on top of my game, crushing it, usually about a year out of a breakup with the previous.

Then I catch onto a girl, we get into a relationship, 1-2 years go by and because I don't have to work for anything, I get soft.

When dating around, you're constantly out 'hunting for food' (girls), thus 'staying in shape' (SMV).

Unfortunately, yes.

I am monogamous and plates are really not for me. I tried hard to change that and it just doesn't work for me, period. In an LTR, however, when everything is going good there is indeed this moment of laziness that you are describing.

My current LTR is my first after taking TRP. It's also my first Capitain - First Mate dynamic and first time I have a woman who's literally horny for me at all times. At first I was constantly affraid I'd lose her, etc etc, but as I've internalised "abundance mentality" and found out she's really into me and not going anywhere, I started feeling this "monotonous" thing you're describing.

Thing is, I consider this a test that will let me progress to the next level. I have to be able to motivate myself and make my own choices in life. Go my own way. If I only act due to outside stimulation (fears, desires) I will always be a dependant being, an animal, a slave. I need to be able to act according to my beliefs, my goals and my plans. And this means fiding motivation where there is none.

Being in a LTR is a setup if you're not on top of your game and paying attention to your actions. That's a recipe for lapsing into a blue pill state. We've all been there at one point or another in our lives. I've done it myself. Alpha as fuck with a IDGAF attitude in regards to women only to backslide in the LTR. That was before TRP. I recently LTR'd a long time plate and have taken a completely different approach. I've been lifting all along, so that's not a big deal. I stay on top of my game and I've made sure she is aware of what I need from her in terms of staying on top of her game as well. I captain this ship, no doubt. She loves her first mate role and plays it well. The one big change I've made from the past is chatting up other women in her presence. You absolutely have to do this. Flirt with that cashier in the supermarket. Talk to that woman on line in front of you. Push/pull complete strangers. Push/pull her friends. Basically, talk shit to anyone and everyone around you. Old ladies, young chicks, dudes....it doesn't matter. People tend to gravitate to me, so it's easy for me to convey the fact that replacing her wouldn't be a problem if she fucks up, without even saying it.

Because the thrill of the hunt isn't there, and because women will reinforce your bad habits trying to pull you down to their level and lock you in. This is why when you're in an LTR and you start bettering yourself the girl will go out of her way to mention how "you don't need to do this" and "Dont need to do that", "you're fine just how you are" etc.

IMO you're still in mindset of putting pussy on the pedestal. Too much of your self confidence comes from women.

LTRs are generally attractive for the precise reason that a man building his personal empire simply doesn't have time to work so hard at getting laid.

Owning your life and increasing your wealth and power is the exact opposite of "monotonous."
