Well, your bias is showing. You sound a little too worked up to be neutral. You're not complaining about the existence of political posts, you're complaining about the content of posts you don't like.

Let me quote from your post about bench-press safety

While political posts aren't exactly on topic, they're probably more relevant than posts regarding the safety of thumb-less benching. The political direction of the country will effect all of us. You don't think Hillary or Bernie are going to be working against our interests in the workplace? You don't think they'll be working to spread the myths of rape culture and gender inequality?

Isn't that just slightly more important than pointing out the obvious truth of using your thumbs when holding a heavy weight above your face and neck?
