Essentially, assume the bitch will do the worst and protect yourself. Adopting ALONE, gives you all the power,, assuming YOU want to be a single father. The other option is a surrogate mother, which means its ACTUALLY YOUR KID.

The two situations could not be more different.

Guys marry single mothers because it's the best option they've got- providing for her kid is the only way they can land steady pussy. Sure, guys will try to pass it off as their choice, but it's obvious that in most cases, they're raising someone else's kid because they couldn't do any better.

That's not the case with adoption- there's no reason for a guy to do it other than out of a genuine desire to do some good in the world. I have a tremendous amount of respect for guys who adopt.

It's not the same. There's nothing inherently wrong with raising another person's child, especially for the right reasons: Hint - the child needs a male figure in their life. But just doing it because it comes with the package, or getting deluded into thinking that mommy will love you for it is beta scale.

Like has been said here many, many times before, there is no set of distinctly red-pill or blue-pill behaviors, just the thought processes and motivations that couple your actions and reactions to things.

If you want to take on a step child, and it makes sense from your personal red-pill enhanced view, then DO IT. Just be a man about it and realize it for what it is, just like anything else we talk about in here.

What about a Big Brother program? At least that way you can mentor the boy without having to raise him as a single parent. I would imagine raising a child alone would take up most of your free time. Big Brother only asks for 8 hours a month.

I think adoption is a whole different thing than dating a single mom and taking care of her kids. If you date a single mom you just failed a huge shit-test from the very beggining. Even if you don't want to, you just sacrificed a huge part of your life in order to get her pussy. You can only go downwards from there.

The reason why dating single mother's is not a good idea is not because of the child, but the nature of most single mother's. There's a difference between a widowed single mother for example and a situation in which the father is still in the picture. The difference is whether the single mother is in the relationship with you for the right reasons. If you have a LTR with a women and you decide to adopt there is nothing wrong with that.

I don't care what you say, whether you adopt domestically or internationally, or whether you just step into the "father" role to create a "just add daddy" family unit. The kid will NEVER RESPECT YOU as it's father. I know this from painful first hand as well as observed experience. Prepare for a life of never-ending "family counseling", "family meetings", blow up fights with the kids who feed you a steady diet of "you're not my daddy" bullshit, and if you are dating a single mother, be prepared for the mother to ALWAYS come down on the side of her kids in any disagreement, no matter how absurd the situation or demands of the child.

If you're cool with being a 3rd class citizen (kids first, herself second, YOU third) in your own damn house for the rest of your life, then go ahead and knock yourself out. I myself reached a breaking point in my situation that ripping down the pictures of her kids and tossing them in my garage for her to pick up was a CATHARTIC, relaxing experience.

They say many men feel remorse, anger, or sadness when they experience a break-up. Not me. I felt like I was Morgan Freeman's character in the Shawshank Redemption walking out of Shawshank Prison and smelling the flowers for the first time in years.

I know it's been said here many times, but I will reiterate to heed this advice, men: DO NOT date single moms (use them as a plate, NOTHING more), and DO NOT step into the role of surrogate father for children that are not biologically yours.

Just to clarify, if you get involved with a single mother and her child, you will have to adopt her child if you want any legal or physical custody rights. So, you would essentially be doing an adoption either way, if you're serious about becoming a parent. There is little to no recourse if you separate from the mother and you haven't put the step-parent adoption in place.

I'm not sure whether step-parent adoption would be as messy as straight up trying to adopt an orphaned child as a single man. I've never seen a single man attempt to adopt a child, but I've done plenty of step-parent adoptions and they range from smooth as butter to complete shitstorm, depending on the scenario.

They're two completely different things. In one situation you're allowing a woman to have her cake and eat it too. She gets to have kids with whoever she wants while having other people provide money for the kids and gets to be a mother of said kid. The idea of enabling that behavior should make you a little hesitant right of the bat.

Besides that, there's the obvious difference that the kid is hers. You just get to be part of the kids life as long as she lets you. It's not really your kid. Much different than adoption where you both don't enable a woman to have her cake and eat it too and you actually have strong parental rights.

I guess if you're impotent and you wanted to be a father...adoption would be preferable. Then you won't be tied down to the single mom that comes with raising another man's discarded progeny.

FYI adoption is by definition raising another man's child.

Its exactly the same. In fact its worse if the kid is from some other country. Makes a beta faggot to raise someone elses (unrelated) kids - but its a whole other level of betaness to raise a kid whose genetics are entirely different from your own.
