You were supposed to escalate after her IOI. Did you do it? If you didn't, you appeared not interested. Passing shit tests is necessary but not enough.

There is a great analogy to describe this interaction. When I was younger I used to skateboard. We used to perform a dangerous trick where you would grind a handrail. This involves ollie'ing up onto a high handrail on a set of stairs and riding the rail to the bottom of the stairs using your board or your trucks. There was only two ways to approach this trick, you either go in 100% and commit to the trick, or you don't go in at all. If you half ass ollie onto the handrail or halfass attempt to you will get seriously hurt.

This interaction with this woman is identical. When she presents herself like this you either go in and escalate, move your hand up to her thigh and gradually to her ass, or you back off and play it cool. Half assing and doing the half touch and touching Her with the back of your hand but acting like you don't know and all that stuff, only makes you look less confident and sometimes May even give off a creep vibe. So do one or the other, pull her in and escalate or back off right away. Anything inbetween will only make you wipe out and make you look weak/ unsure of yourself or the situation.

Attractive women are used to men treating them like they’re only valuable for their bodies. If she was attractive, your lack of escalation of the situation would signal a lack of interest in her.

You should have shit tested her back but moving your hand to her ass. She clearly wanted more than you were giving her. If she was nonchalant about you touching her legs, she probably wanted you to subtley progress until she had an actual reaction.

You always have to push a woman’s limits. If she wants to touch you, and does so, you should touch her back in a way that you want to.

Women like men that are forward and assertive. They don’t like men that wait for them to explicitly say “grab my ass” because that makes them feel like sluts. It was a test and you flunked. When a woman makes the first flirtatious move and you are not man enough to even react, notice, or escalate, you immediately become a lot less attractive. Or it was taken as rejection. Either way, its a setback for you. Even if you are have no intention of following through all the way, you can still pass such a test by making it clear you are more than capable of escalating to the point of fucking her brains out if the opportunity comes up.

The best way to consider these things as with most indications of interest is that they are displays of her being open to something happening between you two. What happens exactly, will depend on how you act and how assertive you are etc.

Think about it, her grazing touch with you is not some invitation to 'come fuck me daddy'. But your gut is right that it is indeed some display of affection. Your gut instinct is there from 1000s of years of programming. Learn to trust it and act in a way that feels natural. A lot of 'game' just seems to be acting with your natural instinct and deprogramming yourself from societies PC gender equality consent nonsense.

I feel a natural move would have been to pull her in to you, in a way showing your own receptiveness and affection to her. From there you could easily see how the push/pull flirting game could ramp up to natural escalation.
