There's a lot of good information about seduction out there. One of the points that hit home was the idea of calibration, the idea of working so your social market value was higher, but not TOO high, over the target. Too low and there's no attraction, too high and they wig out. Yes, crazy simple explanation with a ton of details and nuances overlooked, but that's the gist of it.
I think we all agree that the keeping an eye on your SMV in a relationship is also important. Get too beta, and you're screwed royally. I firmly believe, and I suspect many of you do as well, that you MUST maintain a higher value than the woman's in the relationship to keep it going; both the higher SMV, and also the dominance in the relation. What I am concerned about and would like input on is HOW much, and the various details each way. It feels like for either SMV and relationship dominance, I have the choice of either maintaining it just above hers, or go balls to the wall nuts over her.
Market SMV, just above hers: (Show no fear around her friends and connect with them non-sexually, be enthusiastic about infrequent social situations away from her) This seems the normal relationship path but keeps the relationship healthy. I remain attractive to her peers, but her fears of losing me are minimal because she's competing with women she already feels superior to and not women who are clearly superior to her.
Market SMV, high as possible gunning for a 10: (Game her friends and regale tales of other women and other accomplishments that make me beyond awesome.) This seems like the competition from obviously high quality women would drive her edgy and make her more high maintenance.
Dominance, just above hers: (occasionally show weakness, be willing to occasionally defer to her on topics that don't matter) Again, this feels like a vanilla relationship path.
Dominance, high as possible gunning for 10: Pimp/ho attitudes not too different from the stuff in the Iceberg Slim book. Just complete control, without the physical violence.
I've got three plates I've been spinning, and one loves me, the other two worship me. I'm sure if I wanted to use my powers for evil, I could have them sending me money or signing over vehicles to me without too much effort. In case you couldn't already guess, the two worshipers have gotten a lot more of the dominance than the first. Naturally, my own attraction to them is lessened, just like it would be if I went all puppy dog beta on them. As sociopathic as it may feel to ask, should I continue to keep the dominance super high? I may not get the oxytocin rush that I would with the first girl, but I get some seriously real, tangible benefits out of the worshipers, making it in many ways a superior relationship.
** TL;DR- What are the pros and cons of being a mildly dominant partner versus a supremely dominant partner? Strong male vs. pimp? **
Edit: Thanks for setting the flair for me, mod, I missed it.
