Right.. Well if I'm gonna share personal info like this it will be on a new account.

My dad wasn't involved in my life growing (parental divorce when I was 4). My step dad did alot to exclude me from general shit he did with his kids (taking them to watch motorsports without an invite my way etc). So I lacked a serious male role model till I was 15 and hit school.

I had issues making friends because of this so I was just totally socially inept because of my upbringing. However I had a room mate at my boarding school and its damn near impossible not to become really close friends with a guy who you live with for 5 years. Anyway, his dad was a total Alpha male and I still turn to him for advice when I need it.

I'm gonna call his dad Kevin for this. Kevin set the rules in his house and I got "the talk" when I arrived. "You are my sons friend? Welcome, just know this is my house and my rules. You don't fuck my daughter under any circumstances, alright?" (I'm not kidding those were his words). At first I thought he was a total dickhead who treated everyone else like shit. After spending so much time at his place over the next 2 years I came to see him for something of a god.

This guy came from the gutter and fought for everything he had. His kids were going to private schools, he had a big ass house on a golf estate and a hot housewife who was very chatty but very "in her place". We were gamers and he put a limit to that shit quick. He swore like a trooper "You fuckers spend too much on your computers, we going hunting next weekend." he didn't need to say "No arguments" cause there were none.

As I respected this guy more and more I started talking to him about more personal stuff and we'd just sit up, the 3 of us talking shit. He told us to get in shape if we wanted to get laid. We used his weights but it was sporadic and not very serious. One particular example comes to mind though.

We were up talking and his wife had finished prepping dinner. He was giving us a lecture for doing something wrong but he was doing it half hardheartedly cause we were just being boys. His wife walks in while he's talking. He simply holds up 1 finger and she stands there quietly till he finished what he was saying. He looked at her with an eyebrow up and he invited us to dinner.

He's not shy to exploit a connection. He invited me over to his place for a weekend knowing I work as a lecturer and know the ins and outs of the education system. He needed my advice on which varsity to send his daughter and which had a bad reputations (She had bad grades so he needed to put her in a private college to improve her chances of getting into a better varsity). He was very clear "She wants to just be a student, fuck that. She needs to study something useful.". He decided on her studying pharmaceuticals (He thought it was "good work for a women"). She protested to which he laughed and said "That's the course I'll pay for, anything else and you can pay for it yourself."

The most hectic thing he did (I wasn't RP at the time). When his son was getting married his sons' wife to be was over and they were discussing wedding budgets and crap like that. He said he'd pay for most of it but his condition was he would provide the pre-nup which his lawyer drafted.

Other impressive crap he did. He's a property developer and was mostly catering to high end wealthy estates (equestrian, golf, lakes, etc). When the recession was looming and hit he had moved his entire business into low cost housing and got rid of his old staff. He gave good advice too "If you gonna make a business deal, spend time thinking about shit that makes you depressed. If the other guy thinks you are unhappy then he thinks he's getting the best part of the deal."

With the exception of really deadly serious topics (and even then... ), everything is humorous to me. If I make someone mad or annoyed, I make a game out of how much more I can get under their skin.

If a woman comes shrieking at me acting like a cunt, or blatantly trying to manage her anxiety by making me freak out too, I just let my eyelids and jaw go slack a little, stare at them like I'm mildly retarded, and go, "yurp." Drives them absolutely fucking nuts and is just hilarious regardless of alpha-ness.

If a dude tries to square up to me, I just puff out my chest, stand up tall, and straight up DEMAND they attack me. "Do it. Do it. DO. IT." I've stared some seriously G motherfuckers down like this, although I won't lie, bricks were shat.

When it comes to bums and street urchin types, the second they start moving in my dirwction, I just keep saying, "no cash." Don't even let them get a word in, "no cash no cash no cash no cigs etc" until they get the hint. The local career bums won't even look at me anymore.

When it comes to dealing with cashiers, servers, service industry folks period, I thank them excessively, tip fat, give gifts if I have some regular rapport, and give them all the, "no worries, take your time"s they need. And I'll square up to shitty customers who try to fuck with them. I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks, a true alpha takes care of those lower on the ladder, or I'd rather just be a gamma.

Alpha at it's most elemental level means you understand the true nature of women and have complete mastery over how to manipulate woman to suit your needs.

Beyond that you get into the "implementation" phase where you decide what you are going to do with this wisdom.

The four broad directions fall into something like:

Free Riders - People who exploit the Feminist system to cuckold married men or create bastard children with slutty stupid women. Pimps and gangsters come to mind.
Masters of the Universe - The most Alpha of all. These men have lot's of money, hold power in politics, government or business and have their pick of 10's. They are the top 20%.
Married or LTR - Guys that realize beta traits are death to a relationship so they practice Alpha traits to keep their relationship fresh and alive.
MGTOW - You might not see these guys as Alpha, but they at least understand the game but often choose not to play. They are just a step above beta most of the time, but on the high end when they are spinning plates they are close to their LTR peers with the only difference being they never have to endure shit tests because a plate can be nexted in an instant.

So Alpha means many things, but beta traits are never Alpha.

You are not permanently stuck in any one category.

I think of alpha as sexual leader. I would rather use the term masculine. Some of the masculine fictional characters I look up to are the different incarnations of Sherlock Holmes, Lord Henry Wotton-- who might've been a Victorian personification of the devil, and Snake Plissken.

I think Snake Plissken in Escape From New York shows something that is in direct opposition to what female hypergamy wants, which is happening primarily in MGTOW. Power is like a cigarette, its as enjoyable to throw it away as it is to possess. Its very beta and cliché to like anything about Heath Ledger's Joker, but I like the scene where he's burning piles of money for the same reason. Sometimes the act of giving up or destroying power shows the inability to be corrupted by it.

I don't like the idea of being a doormat, but I also don't like the idea of being intimidating. The ability to be kind, tolerant and understanding, to have give and take relationships rather than being looked up to or feared, is far more important to me. The context of intimidating men and women is usually always the same, a buildup of emotional pain that the world doesn't care about, I wish this was popular knowledge.

My model is the strong silent type Alpha. I have a couple much older cousins who don't live in the west and fit this mold - whenever I see them I see a very grown up version of me. I am still too young to fully pull it off but it is something I strive towards as I get older, taking on more characteristics as the gap between my age and the girls I date (early and mid 20s) widens.

This is of course something I strive towards but may never be strong enough to reach so it may seem a bit embellished, but I don't consider it fantasy either because I know men like this.

This silent alpha I am talking about is reserved enough to appear like he's above it all. However, has very pointed comments about his environment when he does speak showing that he understands, at a higher level, what is happening around him at all times. Back in my beta days I used to blab way too much to impress women, my model alpha let's the women do almost all the talking and only interjects with a few words - multiple sentences are only used during teaching moments.

Always well dressed, he walks the fine line where fashionable meets traditional. He has money to buy the finer things but does not have a lot of possessions - nice clothes, a nice timepiece, a nice car and a tastefully decorated home is all he needs. He doesn't deny the pleasures of the material world but he won't spend money on items other than those listed above, because a good read or a good conversation is all he needs for entertainment. In a way, he's above what most would consider "entertainment" - things like television shows and social media don't interest him. He is well traveled, because visiting other places grant him experiences. He can hold and dominate a conversation in a group setting but is also content at sitting back and offering only a few concise and high value additions to the conversation, especially when the conversation is beneath him. When people can't agree on something or are having a deep discussion they place the highest value on his word vs. the words of others in the group. He isn't usually the center of attention but when he speaks everyone listens intently as he is a fountain of wisdom. Being well read is a must.

Younger girls look up to you as both a father figure and a attractive older man. He is a master of his domain who can be warm and humorous but never shows emotion and never loses frame.

Kind of like the Most Interesting Man in the World from the beer commercials but quieter. "Whose that classy well dressed guy in the back of the bar smoking a cigar?" "I don't know but he walked in arm in arm with two chicks several years younger than him."

Charles Xavier and Magneto from the newer X-Men movie set in the 60s. Both are alpha dogs, one an alpha intellectual playboy and the other a debonaire avenger.

Theodore Roosevelt. Born with asthma and sickly beyond pale. Relentlessly built up his physique and intellect. Held boxing matches in the WHITE HOUSE. Traversed an unknown stretch of the Amazon River after his term.

Matthew McCounaghey in True Detective. Not great with women but an all-around alpha in his job. The way he doesn't give a shit about what others think and keeps going.

As far as TV characters Harvey from Suits season 1 especially, and for a good dark triad edge Joe McMillan form Halt and Catch Fire. I pretend to be him when I'm out meeting girls on the dance floor.
