TLDR - Recollection of the first party I went to after swallowing the red pill several years ago. It was a totally different experience and an excellent opportunity to observe things through a red lens. This memory has stuck with me over the years as I have come to realize why things worked out the way they did. Social proof is an incredibly useful tool that gives you an immediate advantage in social situations. Also, simply standing up for yourself or friends can sometimes be enough to attract women. These examples took place at a college party but the core principles can easily be applied to any situation.

FR Example

After taking the pill, I decided to move away from home and try my luck in a completely new place where I knew no one. I quickly made friends and had a great time beginning my new life. I applied my newfound knowledge everywhere I went and was especially excited to try it out at a party. When the opportunity finally presented itself, my experience surpassed expectations.

I got the invite from one of my friends and showed up a little early with my roommate and another buddy. Not many people had arrived yet, so we cracked some beers and started to socialize. People started flowing in and soon after the party got started. I knew absolutely zero people there aside from my roommate and our friend, so I made it a point to talk to a bunch of different groups. I made my rounds and introduced myself to people and started conversations.

Eventually, one of the guys I had just met invited me to play a game of beer pong with him. So, we get on the table and proceed to win 14 games in a row. Yeah, who cares? It’s just beer pong. Well, it turned out to be an incredible example of social proof. That hot streak on the table made me an instant celebrity to people I had never met before. My teammate and I were up there just having fun and utterly dominating everyone. We talked shit, acted cocky, and joked around constantly. And people loved it. We were the center of attention since we were on a rampage. Everything revolved around us, and people wanted to be a part of it. I had both guys and girls come up and introduce themselves to me even well after we stopped playing. I went from not knowing a soul when I arrived, to practically everyone knowing me by the time I left.

Yes, I am well aware that this sounds like some frat boy’s silly fantasy. It still is a great example of social proof and how it can effect how people see you. I participated in something that is valued by kids at this party and demonstrated my own high value by excelling in their valued activity. This led to strangers approaching me with the assumption that I am a man of status who is worth talking to because of my demonstrated value. It set the tone for our interaction as I had already earned respect in their eyes. Needless to say, this made interacting even easier. You can replace beer pong with any activity that is valued by the group of people you are with in order to achieve social proof. Pong worked in this situation since I was at a party with people all in their early 20s.

Later on, my roommate had to leave at some point during my streak to take our buddy home. This left me at a party full of strangers. I had no issues interacting and making new friends due to the social proof I had established earlier in the party. Eventually, an old friend of mine showed up, so we found some barstools to sit at and catch up.

We were shooting the shit when this cute girl comes up and asks my buddy to stand up for a second so she can get her bag from under his chair. He gets up and waits for her to grab it but instead she picks up the chair and takes it across the room to the beer pong table so she can sit down and watch. We just look at each other dumbfounded for a moment in total disbelief. I ask if he is going to do something about it but he gets nervous and says it’s no big deal. I’m pretty annoyed about it so once I see he isn’t going over there I hop right up and beeline right for her. I tap her on the shoulder and tell her to get up. She stands up right away a little embarrassed and I take the chair back to my friend.

He sits down again amazed I had the balls to do that and says he would never have done it. I tell him it’s no big deal and I wasn’t about to let someone disrespect my friend like that. He is appreciative and we get back to talking. Not a minute later guess who comes walking up? The chair thief. She comes right up to me, ignores my friend and apologizes to me for taking HIS chair. She introduces herself to me and we get to talking. The whole time she doesn’t acknowledge my friend, whose chair she took.

This is an example of how important maintaining your frame and self-respect is to demonstrating value. This girl truly thought she was going to get away with that crap, and she would have too if it was left up to my friend. I passed her shit test with flying colors, and how does she react? She comes and introduces herself to me. She approaches. Notice that she doesn’t apologize to my buddy. She didn’t come over because she was sorry and wanted to apologize, she came over because I held frame and sparked attraction. She was testing her boundaries and I enforced them very clearly to her.

These two examples really stuck with me after that night and helped to shed some light on how social proof works and also the audacity of some women. They have been valuable lessons to me and I hope others might find some benefit in them. I encourage everyone to identify instances of social proof and observe how it effects perception of the group. Watch the differences between someone who enters the group showing value immediately, and someone who tries to join the group without exemplifying value. Also, always, always stand up for yourself. You are not a doormat, no matter how hot the women is. Keep your self-respect and others will respect you in the same way.

Lessons learned

Establishing social proof makes everything easier. People want to get to know the mysterious high value guy. They treat you much better from the start after you exemplify your value.

An easy way to demonstrate high value is to identify what the group you are in values and excel in it. In this situation it was beer pong with college kids, but it could be something like being an exceptional dancer or being simply being friends with someone who has already established high value within the group. Anything that puts you at the top of the totem pole will cause people to look up to you. Observe the group and identify their collective values, then show them how you excel.

Girls seek out men with strong frames. They push boundaries and are looking for the man who will enforce his on her. Chicks can get away with murder when dealing with betas, so by not letting them get away with bullshit you stand out. Sadly, this is a rare quality in men these days.
