tl;dr A woman is exchanging her high-value body in return for a low-value body from a man she has sex with. Unless she gets something valuable from him (like commitment), she is lowering her value (even then it's probably still being lowered). Conversely, a man is adding to his value if he does not give her something valuable in return for her body.
body A little bit of this is spiritual. For the context of this post, I'm working off of the premise that men and women bond themselves together when they have sex. This comes partly from my Christian beliefs; I believe that two people become "one flesh" in a spiritual sense when they mate. Pair bonding, a psychological concept, seems to support this also, though the one flesh concept is completely spiritual in nature.
So what are some things we know are true about the differences between men and women. Within the philosophy we have here, I think we can all agree on a few premises:
-
Human beings offer value to society (ie other humans) which are unique assets. The amount of value offered varies from person to person, and each individual chooses what they do with their own assets.
-
Men and women have their value tied up in their assets differently from one another.
-
For women, the majority of their value is tied up in physical attractiveness. In other words, her body (or flesh) is where most of her value is tied up.
-
The majority of a man's value comes from what he can produce. His skills are his main assets. Different skills also have differing value (eg being good at video games is a very low-value skill, while being able to control social situations and gain social status is a high-value skill).
If the above is true, then we know two things right off the bat. The first is that a man can invest time into his skills to increase his value, and the second is that a woman can't really increase her value over time, and can't really do anything to stop it from deteriorating either.
So, if a woman can't increase her own value over time, but a man can, then a woman needs to obtain value from a man while she still has something to offer him, in order to protect her assets. What she needs from him, mainly, is commitment, but she also needs to ensure that she is getting commitment from a man who will protect his own value by investing his time in high-value skills. Thus, by protecting his own value, he also protects hers.
When a woman has a ONS, she is giving away a large part of her value to a man who is giving her very little in return. Thus, he greatly increases her own value while she diminishes hers. When she fails to get that commitment from him, she nets a loss of value, while he nets a gain.
This same idea can be applied to beta orbiters. They give a woman their commitment (sometimes without her even asking), but get nothing valuable in return. She is protecting her assets using these orbiters, and probably needs it since she's likely giving away all of her natural value to Chad(s).
Lessons Learned
-
The biggest takeaway here is don't give away your value for free. If you aren't getting the value a woman can offer you with her body, why are you giving away your most precious resource to her?
-
Another, maybe slightly less obvious lesson: a woman with a high partner count is typically less valuable than a woman with a low partner count.
-
A wise woman will recognize that her body is her biggest asset, and will use that to her advantage. She is likely to have commitment from a more-alpha-than-average male. If she is particularly devious, she may also have some beta orbiters, but this may require a trade-off in how much of an alpha she can get to commit to her.
