The sad part is she just tasted the equality she likely had been braying for since she was young- an equality where if you did not have an automatically high physical SMV anymore you had to develop other areas much like men have to from the beginning. And even then it did not entitle them to desire from women.

She experienced what it was like to be a beta.

I don't pity her. Pity is for the weak and incapable. She had an entire life up until this point to choose better and avoid this situation.

She did not.

Can anyone expand upon the following quote from this blog post, or maybe provide a source?

"When we see an arousing woman it triggers the parts of our brains involved with tool manipulation..."

It seems very interesting and I'd like to further study this phenomenon.

What Korth suffers from is presuming her personal value is her sexual market value.

This is pretty much the same thing, which /u/Archwinger discussed in his "You only want me for sex!" post.

First off, /u/Rollo-Tomassi , wanted to say that The Rational Male is one of my most recommended books when asked about the community. Now, my two cents:

I've always related SMV and Personal Value as a loose tie in to the way we look at micro- and macroeconomics. And, of course, micro and macroecon are notably different and not perfect parallels to the Sexual Marketplace, but ties exist nonetheless.

Personal Value (PV) is your perception of yourself and how you assume other perceive you. Now, people bounce along a scale of oblivious to plain wrong to self aware, however we all have a way of viewing ourselves whether we notice or not. In this sense, PV drives how we interact with others and how we not only see ourselves but change ourselves. I might choose to hit the gym to increase my PV or I might put others down to try to increase my PV (also bedding many women, making more money, any catalyst you spark in your life), regardless, such moves are ways to move your PV up or down internally.

In the larger scene, the SMV is the societal view of what value is, something we, on a PV level, do not assume we have control over, but in reality, we do. PV to an individual does not change SMV to the society, but a PV standard that is congruent to multiple individuals can shape SMV for a group. In that way, SMV and PV are interdependent and correlated.

What this woman was attempting to do was to 1) establish her PV and 2) alter the SMV archetype with her tactics.

The only conclusion I can reach from reading various approaches to this event, is that much like in economics, PV, when grouped together through the masses shape SMV for the ideals we seek, e.g. if I find that braiding my hair makes me sexy, it might or might not be true of my SMV; but if that fact rings true for PV across multiple persons, SMV will shift towards that, therefore altering my status.
