It is the result of men being shamed and ridiculed for being in the same situation. While women like this are encouraged, supported and "empowered", her male peers would be shamed and laughed at because it is socially accepted to do so right now.

There is a saying: You are the author of your own misery.

Everyone loves poetic justice.

There's real grief here. Anger is a very valid and recognizable step on the path of dealing with grief.

It's not usually productive, and it's ugly, but it's understandable. One hopes that it's simply a step along the path to acceptance.

[–]PraytoAres[S] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sure you are allowed to be upset, but these women didn't do shit to you. If a fat girl loses weight, is she allowed to hate all the men because men in her highschool didn't find her hot? Look at how idiotic it sounds.

[–]1AreYouAware_ 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think we're in disagreement. I didn't say that the behavior is good or productive, merely understandable and hopefully transitory.

[–]1PaulRivers10 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It does sound idiotic, but welcome to most of the feminist-issue articles posted to my facebook feed. "A man I didn't find attractive hit made a polite possibly datey or sexual invitation as he was exiting on his floor - my god! how can I handle this atrocity!".

Sorry, you know, there is to much bitterness. Some of us accidentally picked it up in our writing style from reading to much feminism. But since feminism still has political sway, it's probably not going away any time soon.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, you're making the assumption that overweight people lose weight for reasons having to do with how others perceive them and not in order to improve their own physical and mental health. All of those people I know that were overweight in high school were overweight because they were lacking proper support systems- parents who ate poorly and did not exercise, emotional issues from childhood that were never dealt with. If someone loses weight for attention from others and not in order to improve their self-image, then it would make sense that they might treat those who were rude to them poorly. If they lose weight for their self, then surely they would not harbor hatred for anyone because they achieved their goal out of love- self-love.

We aren't tormenting anyone, the wall and hypergamy are good things for women as they are in her best interests, its not in a males best interests, but it is in our best interests to understand.

You are missing the point, Its explain why women in their 20's want to sleep around and when they are 30 they decide to settle down.

A women in her 20's is very fertile so evolutionary she will want to have sex as much as possible and get the strongest male. When she is 30 she will need someone to take care of her 4 kids , so she will look for a beta male.

To prove this concept we post examples.

The RedPill is about SELF improvement

No its not, read the side bar, you are very blue pill

And someone will post it on threredpill talking about the wall/hypergamy etc.

We aren't pointing it out as a fault, those aren't faults, they are truths, they help shape our perception of females.

a woman in college is in her sexual prime. She's surrounded by, and isolated with, dozens, perhaps hundreds, of eligible young men, many of whom would be perfectly acceptable mates. So, how do you explain her inability to get a mate while in college? Well, there are several reasons:

1) she wanted to sleep around and have fun;

2) she wanted to focus on her career, and delay her family;

3) She's ugly or unappealing in some other way.

4) her standards were too high, or she overvalued herself relative to the pool of potential mates.

The point is, she had the best opportunity she would ever have to get a mate and she blew it. And now, that she's past her sexual prime and she's running out of time, OP advises her to "cast a wider net." Do you see the irony? She shouldn't have to cast a wider net, she had a pool full of fish, all she had to do was grab one.

[–]1PaulRivers10 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

4) her standards were too high, or she overvalued herself relative to the pool of potential mates.

And for some girls, why were their standards to high? Because all they heard about was that they would be attractive forever, guys would always be available, and always want them. If they had had a bit of realistic humility, she wouldn't have spent her college years leaving her net tied up in the basement under the assumption that all the fish would be in the lake all the time.

To use a different analogy, if someone was a farmer and they spent their spring not bothering to plant crops, just clowning around with the tractor, then in the fall they finally got around to seeding their fields, and now it's snowing and their crops aren't growing - do they deserve understanding and support, or do they deserve a certain amount of mocking?

One of the problems with the internet (that's also true in real life really) is that you have no idea what someone's past is. For the women who just had a run of bad luck (my college girlfriend was killed in a drunk driving car accident that I wasn't involved in and she was sober - that's just bad luck), I feel sorry for them. For the girls who just believed what they were told that the guy would come along one day and to not worry about it, they deserve a little flack but I still feel a little sorry for them. But for the women who actively promoted the "don't settle down you'll be just as attractive forever" philosophies, those girls deserve to be mocked. But I don't know which is which (on the internet).

[–]cumdumpster_Ruto 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well she didn't grab one so why is casting a wider net after that mistake ironic?

[–]PraytoAres[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Let's see, maybe she had dreams of becoming ___ when she grew up, maybe a lot of the guys in her college were into playing beer pong and fucking around 24/7. Maybe she wanted to do x,y,z.

Not every woman wants to become a housewife, and besides divorce rates lower after a woman is 25.

[–]Try_2 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

well, then she made her choice. Why can't she leverage all of her great assets into snagging a mate? Why don't the feminists teach their disciples that ultimately, the most valuable asset that a young woman has is her appearance. When that's used up, she can't compensate with all of her hard won "independence."

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

How does focusing on how you believe a woman supposedly fucked up benefit a follower of trp? It doesn't. Its so unconstructive and serves no purpose. Bitching and laughing about her, or any other woman, just comes across as weak and beta to me.

This aspect of trp is such a turn off for me. It seems absolutely irrelevant to the positive and constructive elements of trp.

[–]Try_2 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You can't characterize every behavior, every reaction as "alpha" or "beta". TheRedPill is a reactionary movement that counters the feminization and emasculation of American men, just as feminism is a reaction to what they perceive to be "the patriarchy." When theRedPill sees a post about some 30+ year old woman who can't understand why she's alone, why she can't find a mate, theRedPill simply points out the irony-- she's a victim of her own arrogance, her own pretension and self-importance. They create this world predicated on the absence of consequences for their actions, they live with a cruel indifference to the people they mean to dominate with their sexual capital, and when their capital is spent, they want to go back to the way it was before they won the war.

It's not supposed to be "constructive." It's "descriptive." It's comeuppance.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't disagree with what you say. I just don't believe focussing on someone else's comeuppance benefits anyone.

People who take delight in other people's shortcomings and failures are beta. Talking about other men failing at least offers the opportunity for learning lessons and constructive feedback. Talking about a woman's failure is just self indulgent and lame.

[–]Try_2 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

again. I'm talking about taking delight in someone's shortcomings and failures. I'll only speak for myself. I'm not being critical of them, I'm describing them, I'm observing them. That's all.

Don't forget, this is a specific forum for this type of description. You can't go to r/baseball, and criticize the people for saying how stupid football is and that baseball is so much better. This is a space for men to talk about theRedPill issues.

[–][deleted] 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[–]Try_2 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

theRedPill is a subreddit for alpha males or beta males who want to be alpha males. Alpha males aren't interested in ugly women. Why are you posting here? Why don't you ask your question on TwoXChromosomes? Ugly women tend to get married before hot women. they find some Beta male who they can watch star trek with, and they get married because they know that neither one can do better. It's not the ugly women who are alone at 30.

[–]1PaulRivers10 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Most of your comment is rhetoric.

So for girls for whom the reason is number three, do they still need to be tormented?

For guys who are simply socially awkward, do they still deserve to be called "creepy" and have entire articles written, posted, and shared across their facebook feed about them?

There are girls out there who simply aren't attractive and don't get to have a "sexual prime"- do they deserve to be criticized for blowing an opportunity they never had?

Do the similar guys "deserve" to be be mocked as loser neckbeards?

Because yes, an ugly girl can get laid.

And the equivalent guy cannot even get laid. Does that stop people from making fun of him?

If you are an unattractive girl and you are also quiet or god forbid, shy, it is very easy to graduate from college without ever receiving any sort of male attention.

I've known several of these girls, when a guy did give them attention they shoved him away because that's what the "cool" girls did and they wanted to be like that.

What you mean is - this girl didn't get guys actively pursuing her through college, or actively trying to sleep with her. That one is possible. Welcome to the "hell" of being a non-aggressive guy.

What should girls like this be doing differently? And can any of you, some of whom also weren't noticed by the opposite gender while in college, have some empathy for fellow humans who shared the same rough experience?

Again, rhetoric. Why would one assume that this particular girl is the girl who's posting? There's a way larger # of "I'm cool because I'm not settling down" girls who post.

To be fair, I don't think the girl you describe above deserves ridicule. But I don't think most of the girls who post are that girl, unfortunately I wouldn't have that much advice to give that girl anyways other than the generic "be friendly, try to get in shape, go to places where there are guys".

The guy who was awkward or shy or ugly in college still has decades left to find love and companionship. The girl, on the other hand, can really only expect more of the same.

Not true, the kind of women he wanted are gone as well. The guy, though, has suffered through a decade or to of horniness and feeling like a social loser.

I feel sorry for either of them. But the girl doesn't have it "worse" overall.

[–]1PaulRivers10 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sometimes those comments get to harsh and to personal, and I'm not a fan.

But some of the anger and responses come from the fact that feminists (and really, women in general for once rather than it just being feminists) have spent decades lying to everyone and making it "offensive" to point out that as a women gets older, her attractiveness goes down.

If you're a plate spinner, this is an annoyance but not a huge deal. It's annoying when women will try to "shame" you for not desiring women older than you do. But it's just one of a million attempts to shame guys, and it's not going to change your mind.

But if you're looking for a relationship, this is a complete pain in the ass. The majority of women nowadays are taught to avoid guys who are supportive and looking for commitment. And one part of that is constantly repeating to them that age doesn't matter, they'll be attractive to guys forever, "having fun" is pointedly having sex without commitment (and is never depicted as a relationship actually having fun), with guys who are emotionally unable or unwilling to commit. And one way of communicating how this doesn't work out very well is pointing out bad examples.

We need more pointing out of how much crap this is. At least, those of us interested in a relationship do. If you plan to spin plates forever, it's probably not a big deal for you.

For women, it's always been a tension between the attractiveness of mr completely alpha no attachment, vs mr stable relationship. It's always been that way. But in the past, at least the average woman realized that she was making a tradeoff - she was a little bit scared of settling down with mr to-beta, but also a little bit scared of ending up to old and less attractive having been with mr-no-attachment-alpha.

But now she's being told - don't worry about it. You'll always be attractive. She doesn't stop having that attitude until she hits the wall. And you know what? If all women do this, it's a somewhat effective strategy - human beings aren't going to stop having sex. Relationship guys will settle for the "past my prime" women because there's just no other alternative.

Our society is a little cruel in need to mock people publicly in order to use them as an example of when things go bad, but I just don't know how to else to do it. I do know that since women publicly mock men in this same fashion, that it's a bad idea to not mock them back, if you do they end up with all the power.

Being some angry bitter cunt, that posts fake field reports, and tormenting old women isn’t doing shit for you.

There is entirely too much of this behavior here. As with any movement or ideology, dissenting voices and opinions tend to get shouted down, or, in this case, voted down.

[–]cray-cray-cray4 points 12 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

IF you are 40 fucking a 20 year old, it probably is because you have money and you guys got some sugar daddy arrangement going on.

Not true AT ALL. I know this sub is full of younger guys, but this is not talk from experience... and if it is, then it's not the advice you are looking for.

There is nothing alpha about tormenting a lonely woman.

I do agree with that. I'll comfort and fuck them. I don't celebrate their bad life decisions.

[–]PraytoAres[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Not true AT ALL. I know this sub is full of younger guys, but this is not talk from experience... and if it is, then it's not the advice you are looking for.

Most people date someone within 5 years of them. Sure there are exceptions but they are rare.

[–]cray-cray-cray 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Are you in the 40 range or the 20 range? I'm in the 40 range.

I guess you'd be correct when you originally said "probably." But it surely doesn't have to be true, and the rare exceptions will be more plentiful in this sub.

I had this link open because it was linked elsewhere... http://www.blackdragonblog.com/2014/03/01/x-mistakes-men-men-pursuing-younger-women/0/ Please take a look.

A sugar-daddy arrangement is not at all required for 40 year olds to bang 20 year olds on a regular basis.

I'm not hating on the main point of your post... agree with it mostly... but you made a point out of something that was not required for your conclusion, and also untrue. TRP suggests suggests that plenty of opportunities exist between older men and younger women, and while "probably" is true for the world, it's not true for everyone, and is less true with the 40 year olds inclined to positively participate here.

[–]PraytoAres[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Look dude, there are guys that can't get laid in college, of all the places to get laid its by far the easiest. IF a guy can't fuck a 20 year old when he is in college than his chances of scoring sluts when he is balding, and having heart problems is a joke.

[–]cray-cray-cray 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't understand what you're telling me here.

That because a particular 20 year old can't fuck a 20 year old, mushrooms are like goats?

[–]1knitro 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Agreed - some explanation:

You see these posts frequently because a lot of people fail to progress past stage 2 of the Kübler-Ross model applied to TRP, which is anger.

I've been meaning to write something longer on this - but the transformation from bp to rp is perfectly encapsulated in the Kübler-Ross model.

[–]Meglomaniac 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The thing that bothers me the most about those women is that they still have illusions that they can withhold pussy and still be able to keep a man interested.

Jesus christ marie, you're 30+ years old. If you like the guy enough on the first date, fuck him! You're not gunna keep a decent man around at 30+ if you are not putting out.

[–]PraytoAres[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A lot of guys are looking for a quick fuck, withholding is a smart option for a lot of women that want to weed out guys that aren't interested for the long term. If you choose to stay that's YOUR decision.

[–]Meglomaniac -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The issue is not that guy are just looking for a quick fuck, that isnt what im talking about. Im talking about women who go on 3-4 dates and are still not putting out.

You meet a guy at a bar and fuck him that night, he isnt gunna stick around. He takes you on 2 dates and you still dont fuck him, hes gunna move on.

[–]atl30313 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

IF you are 40 fucking a 20 year old, it probably is because you have money and you guys got some sugar daddy arrangement going on.

Thanks for the laugh. There are many men in my social circle that would stand as examples in opposition to your opinion. They don't have a sugar daddy relationship they just happen to be married and have kids with women half their age. The caveat is they're all successful in business and well respected socially.

[–]snr73 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And there's nothing feminist about tormenting a lonely man. Thanks for this. (please read before it gets downvoted into oblivion.)

[–]weallgonnamakeitbra 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. Ignoring the fact I have a few 30 y/o chick friends who are still pretty hot, making fun of some confused post wall girl isn't going to save the world.

RP/BP examples are everywhere in the world. don't be so outwardly focused. make yourself better, bang whoever you want based upon your own preferences, and ignore everything else. other people's misery shouldn't make you happy.

[–]NoFatChicks88 -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

TRP needs to be less about woman-shaming and more about reclaiming masculinity and tips on how to lead a better life.

These kinds of men are mostly blue-pill rejects (that have always been unsuccessful with women) that get hit by the truth so hard that it turns them bitter and bent on revenge.

edit: downvoted for this comment...really?

[–]snr73 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Prolly downvoted for username? Just guessing.

[–]NoFatChicks88 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I remember one guy thought that the 88 was in reference to SS and called me a neo-nazi because of it. 88 is my birth year, for the record. I didn't even think of the correlation.

[–]snr73 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

lol, I was thinking "nofatchicks" but then I forgot which sub I was on. 88 is white supremacist slang though.

[–]NoFatChicks88 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

yeah, I regret it now. it's caused me to rethink my other aliases as well (usually tag the 88 on a few of them). sigh. i'm actually a very progressive and multicultural guy too :(

[–]snr73 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, I was born in 1973 doncha know, which is conveniently a year without any unfortunate associations.

[–]1PaulRivers10 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

TRP needs to be less about woman-shaming and more about reclaiming masculinity and tips on how to lead a better life.

I agree with your use of the word "less". I think a small amount of it is healthy, otherwise you get caught up in the "women are perfection" mentality which is both innacurate and inneffective in dating.

There's nothing wrong with some of that, but trp does get to high of a dose of it - wish I somehow saw more helpful articles than yet another one bitching about something.

I get what you mean, and you're right. People do need to be shamed for the dumb shit they do and say otherwise they'll never learn, right? I just think we need to tone down the bitterness aspect because clearly it's turning some people away and causing most to think it's 100% a hategroup.

I don't think the people trying to claim it's a hate group are going to be swayed. As long as we ignore the frame they want everyone to have to talk in, they're going to try to claim it's a hate group.

But the rest of your comment I totally agree with - their's way to much bitterness in the forum. As a forum about sexual strategy, one of the first and oft-proved rules of game is - bitterness is one of the most unnattractive emotions to women.

It's fine (imo) to say things that piss people off that are true, but the bitterness is definitely more than I'd like.

There is a lot of anger in this Reddit. Yesterday I was downvoted because I spoke out against a dude breaking up with his GF just as she wakes up in the hospital with a new baby lying next to her. Thought it was very uncool and not Alpha at all even though the baby wasn't his apparently. He had a reason for revenge but doing it like that, and like OP suggests is not Alpha.

As Arnold tells us: Relax. You'll live longer.

100% agree. Trp is about focusing on yourself. That dude totally focused solely on inflicting the maximum pain on someone.

I didn't know the other thread, but it sounds like you're putting a woman who's cheated on you's emotions above your own. And that's exactly what trp is against.

"I maliciously waited until the worst possible time to break up with her" is being a dick and not alpha (usually).

That's different than "The baby was born, suddenly it was obvious that it wasn't mine, I dropped her cheating ass like a rock right there". It's not like she's homeless on the street here - she's in a hospital, she's capable of taking care of herself (or rather the nurses and staff around her are).
