I feel your pain.

I flit back and forth between r/theredpill and r/mensrights and parts of both subreddits frustrate me.

r/rmensrights doesn't see women correctly and buys into the politically correct bullshit that men and women are basically the same with different plumbing. But I like the attention they bring to legal injustices and the biased courts. Those are things that might actually be fixable.

r/theredpill sees women the way they really are. However, I personally don't feel like they're as concerned with the feminization of society and legal injustices as they should be. Most seem to take a, "just employ TRP in your personal life and rise above it" attitude. Except there's going to come a time, probably in our lifetimes, where society has skewed so far out of balance that even that won't work unless you're a full-blown movie star or something.

I'm similar, I read both subs.

r/redpill is more realist, r/mensrights is more idealist.

I don't agree with everything posted in either sub.

Adopting a victim mentality is feminine, and the men in "men's rights" who do so are in fact demonstrating their femininity by whining and complaining like little pussies. To be masculine is to take charge and grab the world by the throat, not sit back and complain. TRP sub here provides a lot of motivation, feedback, and wisdom for how to maximize one's masculinity, and at its best is less "ranty."

Yes. Holding up picket signs and marching in the streets gets you nowhere contrary to popular belief. This tactic never sways the opinion of those in power whom are perfectly happy relegating men to androgynous worker bees. Take control of your masculinity and you take control of your Destiny

All good points, but there's strength in unity and organization.

Its actually a bit more complicated than that. The following are my thoughts on feminism (wall of text incoming):

On FEMINISM: in this country the feminist movement was born out of the women's suffrage movement in the mid 1800s, which demanded universal voting rights for women in America (the Nordic countries did it in the late 1700s). It started with a collection of people voting and campaigning against certain inequalities that existed with regards to opportunities between men and women. These old cultural norms were based on societal differences (Athenian Democracy) based on biological differences between the sexes. In the Revolutionary War (1776), wealthy landowning men fought and died in battles against taxes by the tyrannical British King George III and decided to create a society that was a Democratic Republic (with house representatives and senators chosen to vote on the important issues). The young country struggled to survive, and engaged in bitter feuds to sustain itself. In 1807, voting was expanded to include all white male citizens because the political parties wanted a larger voting base, and reasoned that "no taxation without representation" applied to all white men who had risked their lives. A little over 50 years later, women also decided that they deserved the right to vote, that they were citizens as much as the men were. Basic voting rights were campaigned for most by Susan B Anthony, and the movement achieved its shaky start. Women also campaigned for the right to go to college, and for equal rights all around. They argued that they would make better mothers if they could be more involved in society, and that it was a waste for a nation to not use 50% of its workforce. Most of these rights were conferred upon the women because they asked nicely for them, and their general role within the society remained the same. By combining with the abolition movement, women were able to compare themselves to slaves because of their unpaid labor, and eventually win over key representatives as they neared their goal. The white men instead chose to let black men vote 10 years ahead of white women. In World War II, women across the country were forced to enter the workforce as their husbands went off to war, and became accustomed to working with machinery while business owners became accustomed to cheap labor. This was meant as a temporary engagement in order to bolster the war effort, and women were expected to return to their natural state of affairs afterwards. Indeed, the 1950s was a time of prosperity and wealth for the country as both sexes took their natural roles to create strong families (baby boomers had to come from somewhere).

As the 1950s came to a close, new technologies like vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and microwave ovens had drastically reduced the amount of time and effort required in housekeeping. In the early 60's, male scientists invented "the pill," revolutionizing women's control over their own reproductive systems, which had essentially defined their very existence until this point in history. Freed from their natural role, women desired to be a permanent part of the male working world, and were helped along by political parties again wanting a larger voting base, and by capitalist Oligarchs who wanted more labor at a cheaper price. By again piggybacking on the growing Civil Rights movement, women were able to come together against "the patriarchy" to demand equal treatment and pay in the workforce, equal access to education and other benefits like abortion. Marriage was decried as oppressive and outdated, and women across the country prepared for a "battle of the sexes" as part of the 2nd wave of the feminist movement.

But nothing came of it. The leaders of the Feminist movement got married and had children, and the novelty of the pill faded after a decade of reckless sex and drugs, replaced with the feeling as if it had always been there. After the Civil Rights movement came to a near stop with the deaths of MLK and JFK, there was a power vacuum which the Oligarchs seized for their own benefit, instituting "trickle down" economic policy that would last decades. During their cleanup of the Civil Rights, these Oligarchs quietly bought and absorbed the Feminist movement, putting it in crappy magazines to sell copies and in colleges as useless majors for dumb women. They were able to pull this off by taking control of the source of the movement: the idea of "GIRL POWER!" (the thought that women are equal in all aspects, or sometimes superior to men, often synonymous with "empowerment") that women so eagerly wanted. The oligarchs focused in on this and amplified it to the point of absurdity, turning it into a drug for women and maintaining the status quo through constant victimization, which made the demand for "GIRL POWER!" rise exponentially. "GIRL POWER!" movies were made, and the constant use of the 77% wage statistic became commonplace. In reality all of this was an illusion, a clever ruse designed to trap women in a state of powerlessness by giving the fantasy of power and change, much like horoscopes. By minimizing and ignoring the reality that men and women are different, the Oligarchs were able to sell women an idealistic fairy tale that they could not opt out of, for fear of being labeled an enemy by other women, and in which constant reinforcement stimuli is needed like a drug that needs a bigger dose each time to achieve the same high. They maintained and encouraged the idea of women as objects to avoid responsibility, but also encouraged the idea of "empowerment" and freedom. They expanded the use of the word "patriarchy," which originally meant male controlled government, to a more nebulous and vague concept that was used to complain about all differences between the sexes. Today, most feminist uses of the word "patriarchy" can be replaced entirely with the word "biology," and still mean exactly the same thing. The overall result was women who only had self agency when it benefited them, but demanded respect at all times without earning it.

In the 1980s, Feminists had gained a majority of what they had set out to do by changing unfair laws and expanding opportunities for women. This led to a stagnation in which no visible progress could be observed because the remaining differences between the sexes were so engrained in culture that they could not be quickly changed. In order to re-ignite the passion and fervor required to keep the movement alive and relevant, new types of feminism began to emerge, which are often given the label as "3rd wave Feminism." Extreme radicals in the Feminist movement like Andrea Dworkin were labeled as such and avoided, while her writings (which accurately presented the movement's next steps) were considered heresy. Dworkin is famous for using the rhetoric of war to compare all PiV sex to rape, because it is equivalent to an occupation of territory. After escaping her first marriage to an abusive husband, Dworkin married a gay man and convinced him that his penis was a tool of oppression (which he wrote and published). Dworkin was heavily obese and depressed for a majority of her later life, and she believed in the fantasy of equality so much that she blamed both on men. She died in the early 1990s, not a martyr but a sad clown rejected for not getting the joke.

The great fault of the feminist movement is that it uses its power to legislate equality in a competitive environment, which is absolute proof that women are not equal at all because they cannot compete on their own (equal results instead of equal opportunity). Even after this (or because of it), the movement realized that people still don't think of the sexes as equal, so it tried to change social and cultural norms that are based on millions of years of biology and thousands of years of culture with about 100 years of "GIRL POWER!" Unfortunately, without studying and accepting biological realities (which are conveniently left out of feminist majors), the understanding of reality that many women have is weak enough to be taken advantage of by the Oligarchs, who continue to sell the never ending fantasy of oppression, victimization, and progress. This is an ingenious ploy that revolves around women's inability to admit truth. First, a romanticized statement of gender equality is made, ignoring the inherent differences and the reasons for the current state of affairs. Second, focus is brought to a difference in achievement or pay because of the patriarchy, and policy is enacted to force a change in order to reach observable equality. Third, when the policy change fails or has little impact, it is blamed on oppression and privilege and still considered a success, and the cycle starts anew. The greatest example of this is the gender-wage-gap. If women are paid less than men (77% comes from total average of US citizens, instead of comparisons between similar individuals), any business could save money by only hiring female workers. The only reason that a pay gap would exist after accounting for maternity leave, the difference in College Majors, and more dangerous jobs taken by men, would be because the employer values the labor of a man more. This is generally because men react better under stress, don't take criticism as harshly, are legally less risky, are more competitive, less catty, and don't bring their personal lives into the office with them (they are better at compartmentalizing). Instead of being hired for their skills, women are instead hired to fill a quota.

Let me know what you think.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

You could probably make more paragraphs out of your text wall to make it look more hospitable.

After escaping her first marriage to an abusive husband, Dworkin married a gay man and convinced him that his penis was a tool of oppression (which he wrote and published).

So because she was mentally and physically abused, she went and mentally abused a gay dude to the point of him hating his own cock and writing a book about it. Wow that's fucked up I wonder how much sadistic schadenfreude she indulged in from that as a radical feminist. Having her own little homosexual psychological punchbag. Damn. She was dark as fuck.

The great fault of the feminist movement is that it uses its power to legislate equality in a competitive environment, which is absolute proof that women are not equal at all because they cannot compete on their own (equal results instead of equal opportunity)

Brilliant point, they had to dilute education (at least in England - I suspect its the same in the rest of the anglosphere) to change the education system so it has a positive bias towards female achievement over male achievement. This is further exacerbated by absent fathers at home to help manage male behaviour and then an absence of men in the education system itself, especially at the lower, crucial developmental stages of life. I think there was even a study I read some time ago saying female teachers mark boys lower because they are boys, whereas male teachers mark across gender more equally. Something to do with "boys who behave like boys" being viewed as defective girls and female teachers factoring a boys behaviour into his grade, rather than just raw ability.

This is generally because men react better under stress, don't take criticism as harshly, are legally less risky, are more competitive, less catty, and don't bring their personal lives into the office with them (they are better at compartmentalizing). Instead of being hired for their skills, women are instead hired to fill a quota.

That, and the hypergamous expectation that a man needs to be deemed better than a woman for her to find him attractive, as well as "provide" for her (men do not expect a superior mate or to be provided for) are all great economical-sociological arguments for why men deserve higher pay than women for working the same number of hours in the same role. Likewise if you're more skilled than someone else in the job market, you should be compensated for that. Being better at keeping calm under pressure is a skill that IMO, warrants higher pay. It also bleeds into team morale. Personally, I've always found working with women to be a chore, as they expect me to take their negative emotional load and deal with their inability to handle shit. They emotionally lash out in a way a man never has towards me in the workplace. Women oft make a workplace emotionally violent, threatening its very stability. Spinsters and career women are the worst for that shit, they bring their bitterness to work with them and take it out on peers, and if they're in a customer-facing role, customers too. Even women who are above you in the company will delegate their emotional burden onto you. The very opposite of leadership. I've spoken to many women about "if they prefer a male manager, or a female manager at work" and the majority all say they prefer a male manager as they feel they are treated more fairly and to be crude, male managers generally speaking tend to have their shit together more than female managers.

Most women I've seen in leadership positions are poor leaders and do not deserve to be where they are. There are a few great women in the workplace out there, but for every great female leader you have 10 shitty ones and it's not just bad for the workforce under them, but the company and the economy as a whole. They have an overarching tendency to destroy morale and it's psychologically taxing on the men and women who have to work with them. The men especially, as much like in a relationship, they are expected to pick up the slack and take the blame (be scapegoated) for things the female leader did wrong. It's not beyond a bad female leader to expect telepathy from a male worker beneath her and then for her to lose her shit when something isn't done (because the dumb bitch never asked for it to be done.) FYI: she will then rewrite history and profuse she explicitly remember asking for the unasked thing to be done and that clearly said man just has a poor memory/is lying. Again, the accusatory nature of such "leadership" being incredibly poor for morale as well as emotionally violent, a form of bullying/creating a hostile work environment. It's so bad that govt has to force quotas on businesses to hire and promote women who aren't cut out for leadership because "there should always be equality of outcome," even if they're just bad leaders. Its pathetic.

This is the thing about women. They enjoy power but they can't handle the stress, responsibility and accountability that comes with it. They want people to jump to their tune and they want the power to reject people and be bitchy unopposed, but then when the stress of managing people and hitting targets comes to bite them in the ass, they more often than not have a meltdown and all the work bullshit bleeds into their personal life (fucks her man less) and vice versa, any problems with her man lead to poorer conduct at work. It's pathetic when a female leader blames the failure of a project on her peons, cries or screams at work, loses her shit, gets mentally abusive and basically demonstrates she can't even keep a lid on her own emotions, let alone lead a team of people. I know I wouldn't trust someone who couldn't control their own emotions at least 90% of the time to be responsible for anything important. Emotional reasoning, but particularly negative emotional reasoning and hypersensitivity to things other people say and do in particular impede reasoning and can lead to detrimental behaviour and impaired decision making and etc. It's shit for the guys and girls working with such a woman and it's shit for the guy fucking her who has to put up with her when she gets in through the door.

[–]MorpheusGodOfDreams1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm fairly sure that most employers would choose to have a male managing any type of important decision making if they did not have to hire women for PR reasons.

[–]WillClickOnAnything1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Let me know what you think.

I think this is almost sidebar worthy material. Well said. I say sidebar material in that it clearly defines the different stages/waves of feminism. Most arguments I see regarding feminism are unfortunately born out of differing definitions. Philosophy 101: Agree on definitions first. This should be required knowledge before discussing here.

[–]MorpheusGodOfDreams1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you good sir. I agree that we should have a general outline of the history of the Feminist movement with which to understand the changes in our society.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You blame the feminist movement on "oligarchs".

It's true that some oligarchs funded some parts of the movement, but "patriarchy theory" was the result of women's own reasoning about society - started by authoress Simone de Beauvoir in her book "The Second Sex", which popularised the idea that women were and always had been second class citizens, the fundamental victim narrative if feminism. You also neglect the abundant creation of false statistics to support the damsel in distress narrative that lies at the core of feminism.

To blame "oligarchs" is to deny women responsibility yet again. You are advocating for their hypoagency.

[–]MorpheusGodOfDreams4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No, I simply do not believe in female responsibility at all. If women were forced to be actually accountable for anything that they did, they would immediately reject such a state of affairs and go back to being "the second sex" (which is biologically ridiculous. All of us have 1 X chromosome, and the second one just protects against disease. It is the Y chromosome that radically changes the programming and allows a person to be something more than a breeding machine, which nearly 25% of the female bodily energy goes towards. Women are the default in humanity, which is why they are so average and mediocre at everything, while the males are more on the extremes of every statistic.)

A small child can bitch about not being taken as seriously by their parents, but it means nothing until the parent talks to them at eye level and tries to reason with their babbling. Likewise, women writing long books to other women complaining about having too much free time is meaningless until some powerful males decided that they could market 'oppression" and "empowerment" to the hordes of female consumers spending their father's or husband's money. The false stats mostly come from universities, which were run by men who were looking to make money from an untapped market. This is why feminists want more women in STEM, despite their natural inclination to do other things.

In other words, women complain, but it is really Alpha men who actually make all of the changes that women want for their own benefit, and Beta men who enforce the changes to their own detriment.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Oh interesting, I hadn't thought of it that way.

I'm not sure I agree that women have no agency, and are not responsible for anything at all - how then can they be held accountable for crimes?

I think it's natural to female behaviour to want to act without being held accountable for their own actions though.

[–]2Occams_Shiv0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If the crime is serious enough, even children are held somewhat accountable, but neither children nor women were, are, or ever will be subject to the same consequences as men.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, look at Muslim societies - Islam seems to understand female evil, so treat women accordingly.

The less "sophisticated" a society, and more connected with the brutalities of living, the less women are able to use their wiles to manipulate society to their selfish advantage.

Feminism, whilst representing the natural callousness and self-interested nature of females - is in fact against the natural way humans organise themselves. In a more balanced arrangement, men and women are both aware of how female nature when unleashed destroys the integrity of the social group, so female evil is necessarily constrained, for the benefit of all.

[–]2Occams_Shiv0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

how then can they be held accountable for crimes?

They mostly aren't. MRAs see this as unfair, but it is the natural order expressing its self.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

How does that "natural order" express itself in Muslim societies?

My point is, when men are clued in to what women are actually like, they don't allow themselves to be fucked around by women.

It's taken decades of feminist manipulation of society to brainwash the public into believing that all the measures put in place to constrain female evil were actually injustice against women, and so should be removed, and as a result, we see female evil running rampant.

Men's reaction to female evil is as natural as female evil itself. What is unnatural, is for men to be constrained by social pressure and artificial laws to do nothing while women (literally and metaphorically) get away with murder.

I'm inclined to agree.

But our feelings towards women have altered over time thanks to feminism, away from the biologically sensible norms. For example, women are now encouraged to work, and view motherhood as a failure option; they dress slutty, and are expected to still be treated with respect; they sleep around, but still expect to find a high achieving, loyal and faithful husband.

Feminism has shifted societies perceptions away from what is biologically sensible for the good of society; it's possible that men's rights could do the same, eventually.

But I'm certainly not holding my breath waiting for that day. Life has to be met how it is, not how we would like it to be. In the mean time, however, I will support anti-feminist causes and political movements, and steer clear of supporting any movements or political parties that have a pro-feminist bias.

Can one be too "Red Pill" for this reddit?

Yes. If so, you go to /r/DarkEnlightenment

MRA's are a notch back from here, so I'd never be into "victimhood" for men.

If you go in the neoreactionary direction you are fighting as men towards patriarchy using Red Pill wisdom and history as your guide.

Time is on the side of the neoreactionary because we know it ALWAYS ends there. :)

I'm already quite familiar with r/DarkEnlightenment.

I agree with many of those ideas, but not all. I don't think a monarchy is a desirable form of societal organisation, for example; such hierarchies simply allow tyrants to inflict the worst kinds of cruelty humans are capable of without being challenged. There is no reason to think that the humans that end up in the position of monarch are the best suited to the job - history has shown they usually aren't.

Monarchy is just one concept related to history.

A great review of the concept of "Natural Rights".

The easy thing to know is that natural rights grow from obvious real world situations like what circumstances in nature allow one man to kill another and have the group say it's okay?

Feminism spins abstract loops disconnected from reality.

It's this disconnect that makes Feminism wrong.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link

Feminism spins abstract loops disconnected from reality. It's this disconnect that makes it wrong.

Indeed, the endless hamstering.

It's bizarre that one aspect of the pedestalizing of women is the new age idea that, since women are more emotional and feelings based, they are inherently more connected to "the universe" and have greater intuitive capacity, compared to men who are vilified as being too logical, cold, closed and rational. And yet the truth is that the women's own political movement seeks to ignore biology, and focus on abstract ideas of how men and women should behave, dismissing any differences as social conditioning.

The true nature if femininity is constantly at odds with itself, just as feminism is at odds with biological reality. Women tell themselves they are doing one thing, while they are doing another, then seem confused as to how they ended up in the situation they are in.

I think the best example of this are the experiments that show women lie to themselves about their own levels of sexual arousal. They are incapable of being honest with themselves over this utterly fundamental aspect of human existence. I can't find the original study, but here is an article about it.

[–]2RedPillSafe1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago* (11 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.

Women are 100% subjective in their view of reality.

Men begin as boys seeing reality in subjective ways, but then slowly begin to add abstract models to their world so that they grow stronger in objective reality.

Red Pill is just the better model.

But taking a common criticism of religion...

Can one prove Red Pill? No. At least not subjectively.

One can only comprehend Red Pill if you have the mental capacity for abstract thought at a high enough level (and usually some experience) to be able to use the Red Pill model in realtime in your life.

Just as with religion there is no "bible literalism" ("Red Pill literalism") that can can be proven as a fact.

All attempts to dumb down Red Pill will make it's abstract wisdom disappear.

You must "climb up" to Red Pill out of the subjective.

Stupid people won't swallow.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I think evolutionary psychology goes a long way to supporting red pill concepts, don't you?

[–]2RedPillSafe1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

It can sometimes get too literal and too narrow.

There's a tendency to overlook the cyclical nature of the rise and fall of civilizations and how that interacts with sexual strategy.

Also, nature isn't perfect. The dinosaurs were dominant for millions of years and things changed in ways that wiped them out. History is the story of false evolutionary paths that mysteriously die out. History is written by the survivors and our egos tend to inflate our own worth in the outcome.

As a human today I realize that should WWIII occur and nuclear weapons that are armed and ready are made to do what they are supposed to do that the random chance of living in the wrong place (cities or military bases) will mean your entire family will be evaporated. Is there a sexual strategy for that? No. It's outside the conventional Red Pill framework.

So the farmer living in a rural town might see millions of others die and he simply keeps doing what he's doing and receives a big random bonus.

Life and nature have unpredictable fortunes.

However, after the nuclear war that farmer will write a history that "proves" he was destined to survive.

"Must have been good genes." The farmer says.

This is why I advocate /r/DarkEnlightenment because you get that "big picture" view.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

For sure, evolution is not the be all and end all of survival. Luck has a hand.

But my point was that evolutionary psychology goes a long way to confirm some redpill truths regarding female vs male nature.

I read the book "sperm wars" some years ago. It explains how aspects of female biology interact with female sexual strategy, resulting many of the female behaviour patterns we observe and discuss.

One important piece of information regarded how female menstrual cycles are set up to confuse potential mates, and how the woman herself is oblivious to this - resulting in the king oh sexual hypoagency we are familiar with ("I don't know how I had sex with him, it just happened").

Also, the fact that females are actually unaware of when they are aroused and will unconsciously lie about it (although not in that particular book) I find another key piece of information when understanding female behaviour. Being dishonest about that fundamental aspect of themselves is entirely natural for them. This is why I call them natural born liars. source

[–]2RedPillSafe1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Red Pill is definitely a great model for it's intellectual space.

No doubt.

But the world is big and complex and using the same rational approach as Red Pill in others areas works just as well.

Red Pill seems determined to keep things focused on gender issues alone.

...and that's fine.

But people should be allowed to know where to go NEXT.

/r/DarkEnlightenment

(my opinion anyway)

[–]anonlymouse0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is why I advocate /r/DarkEnlightenment because you get that "big picture" view.

The problem is they're just like feminists. They argue against all evidence that violence is increasing, and will hamster their way into believing it's true - exactly the same way feminists will argue against all evidence that rape is increasing.

[–]2RedPillSafe0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

/r/DarkEnlightenment is neoreactionary.

So their basic theme is that we are at the end of the civilization cycle and will swing back towards more "primal" truths soon.

They are arguing that nature will defeat idealism. (Feminism)

How is that unlike Red Pill?

[–]anonlymouse0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's unlike red pill because they keep insisting that something which obviously isn't true is. Which is also why it's like feminism.

The Cathedral is also just their version of The Patriarchy. They're OK for identifying problems, but their theoretical models and solutions are crap.

[–]BasementMisogynist0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

A lot of red pill ideas are based on statistics that mostly prove biological ideas. We can't even compare this to feminism which is based on history and then says "what if we change everything that has historically worked?"

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Feminism isn't based on "history". It's all conjecture. It isn't based on anything solid. Any research feminist do is to prove things they already believe - and they have been shown to be quite happy to commit academic fraud in order to do this.

At best, you might say feminism is base on a particular interpretation of history - i.e. it's a story about a story, with lots of bias and embellishment, to suit a female self-interested narrative.

[–]2RedPillSafe0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Red Pill is more of an observation based abstract model of gender reality.

I haven't seen much physical evidence that's very good.

Abstract truths like math are "true" because we can observe things like 2 + 2 = 4 in nature by looking at actual things as test cases. The symbolic aspect is not "provable" in a subjective sense. The symbol for the number "2" doesn't exist in nature, but that abstract notion of "2" does exist.

Red Pill is not like a "bible literalist" group. We think abstractly and KNOW it's abstract knowledge. (or should know)

The moment Red Pill relies on physical data is the moment it loses value.

We don't want to dumb down Red Pill and make it literal.

Studies that contribute to Red Pill are fine, but the abstract model is true because we have subjective experiences that validate the model. The field reports are examples of this, they expose Red Pill truths through personal stories in real life.

There are "lies, damn lies and statistics" which we don't need.

[–]WillClickOnAnything0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. It's MRAs victimhood mentality that has them in the same category as tumblerinas in my head. I'm new to neoreactionarism but it's ringing as true as TRP did when I first encountered it.

[–]WillClickOnAnything2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

MRAs are just loudmouthed betas that have spurned TRP. They're every bit as annoying as feminists. Why people seem to think there is some kind of alliance between TRP and MRA is beyond me. I imagine them just as I imagine most feminists. Fat, ugly, lazy bitches that are pissed at the world they live in and blindly flailing about trying to change things. The funny part is MRAs have exactly zero chance of changing anything, unlike feminists.

MRAs create people like Elliot Rogers buy reinforcing their angst and focusing it. TRP actually helps people like that improve themselves and teaches them to function in this fucked up world we live in.

[–]jsalathe0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't know why this is being downvoted, it's mostly true. I am glad MRA exists as a balance to feminism, but they're mostly whiny, bitter bitches.

[–]WillClickOnAnything0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am glad MRA exists as a balance to feminism

I completely disagree. They do more harm than good. They harm true men's rights issues much the same way that country bumpkins with stories about aliens probing their asses do to scientific efforts to discover alien life. They're too easy to dismiss as a bunch of nuts. Which they are tinfoil hats and all.

[–]throwaway687461 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's "women's logic" taken to the level of a political movement, and unfairly seeks to advantage women regardless of what's fair, good, or honest. It's sociopathic.

Good point. You should really link to some content from tumblrinaction or something to demonstrate your point. Even just two positions of hypocrisy arguing for having their cake and eating it too are enough.

Reading all of this it isn't wrong, but you should really link to evidence in feminist arguments.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, it all just came out at once though.

Maybe I should write it up properly as a more detailed post, with examples.

Funny - I noticed this comment in /r/againstmensrights:

http://redditlog.com/snapshots/1075117

Mainly though just loving how popular that OP has become in MensRights given his TRP/UKIP/misogyny. Such surprising crossover.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They are totally wrong about UKIP, but then those freaks are wrong about almost everything.

[–]Workchoices[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Trp and men's rights are not the same thing. There crossover, sure they both exist in the manosphere and many people visit both.. But they are not the same thing,. They do not have the same goals.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Does TRP have any goals? It's not so much a movement as a philosophy or an outlook.

[–]Workchoices[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's also a self improvement ideology. The goal would be to change the way men think About themselves and how they interact with others (especially women)

Men's rights is an activist movement that highlights social and legal injustice against males and attempts to change this (especially politically).

[–]PlusGoody1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

MRA is a reactionary and restrictionist movement animated by self-pity more than anything else.

TRP is a self-improvement movement animated by a conviction of human potential.

They intersect at deploring the use of the force of law to impose left-wing nostrums, but in little else.

They differ profoundly in their concept of male agency -- MRA sees men as helpless before the state whom they must beg for succor, TRP sees the state as changeable creature of a changeable culture, and self-aware men as an instrument of that change.

More importantly, they differ profoundly in terms of their basic posture to the happiness of women.

MRA would gladly reimpose social restraints of old that made women miserable and deprived of potential; it is ultimately a movement that no self-respecting father of a daughter or brother of a sister can embrace.

TRP is all about observing how people, including women, actually behave when they are seeking their own happiness. We don't celebrate the depredations of the cock carousel and hitting the wall, we actually want to be part of stopping them, and our own refusal to indulge them being a part of that. We don't want women to have to suffer the indignity of mating with a sniveling beta, we want to be the alpha that they want and (in a human rights sense) deserve.

[–]Red_Shirt_Blue_Pants1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

The same shit happens here. Only difference is instead of gettimg called a mysoginist you just get called feminine for going against status quo. These are common ideas to this sub so I'm not really sure why youre looking for feedback.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I just find it bizarre when people don't get it. It seems so obvious to me.

[–]Hoodwink1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

It's not obvious.

But not only is it not obvious, it takes a lot of social acuity and internal modeling. One of which is missing in large parts in a good part of one sex or the other.

And then there's the fact that you'll be crucified for bringing the good word. Martyrs and heroes get killed according to that old black book.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

And then there's the fact that you'll be crucified for bringing the good word. Martyrs and heroes get killed according to that old black book

Indeed. I used to be friends with a lot of radical Leftists and anarcho communists. When I began to speak out against Feminism, I was vilified, then ostracised. It was a difficult time, as I had previously understood that those people considered themselves advocates of free speech, and open to alternative thinking - I found the exact opposite is true!

[–]Hoodwink1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Actually, the first anti-feminists (critical of core tenants of feminism) I ever spoke to were anarchists and a socialist who were in grad school. There's a small and very quiet force of dissenters on the left about identity politics. They were schooled in theories about power and were much more academic than your standard throw-rocks-at-shop-windows and you have to listen to the right type of music or else we don't have much in common types.

Feminists hate these types and started to attack them awhile ago (after all, they basically say that most feminism is not only illogical, but useless). On reddit's anarchism sub, they were banned. There was a big attack on 'manarchists'. They originally weren't men's right's + anarchists though that's what they refer to now.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Funny. My first conflict with a modern feminist was several years ago at an anarchist activist training camp. The feminists had organised lots of special facilities for the women - special women only camping (the best area in the field, with its own water supply, nice and flat while everyone else was further down a bumpy hill, and close enough to the toilets to be convenient without having to smell them) as well as special women only seminars on feminism and fighting the patriarchy.

It was bizarre that at an event that was supposedly "non-hierarchical" and against the very idea of a tiered society, the feminists had managed to secure all kinds of advantages for females. And everyone accepted it. But not me.

[–]WillClickOnAnything0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It was bizarre that at an event that was supposedly "non-hierarchical" and against the very idea of a tiered society, the feminists had managed to secure all kinds of advantages for females. And everyone accepted it. But not me.

Nature finds a way my friend. The irony lies in that they are not self-aware enough to even notice.

[–]WillClickOnAnything0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had previously understood that those people considered themselves advocates of free speech, and open to alternative thinking - I found the exact opposite is true!

You will find this true of most liberal ideologues. They wouldn't be liberals if they weren't able to shut-out unfavorable attitudes and speech (lie to themselves). Coincidentally this is why the next batch of fascism is most likely to grow out of today's liberalism.

[–]WillClickOnAnything0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does anyone know of a way to filter out MRA flaired posts?

[–]GhostOfAladdin 1 points1 points1 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Victimhood by either gender is a poor choice. Disempowers the person immediately.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

For sure, to identify with being a "victim" is a psychological trap, from which there is no escape.

But feminists use the identity of "victim" as a weapon.

Just as false accusers of rape pretend they are victims of male sexual aggression in order to attack a particular man, feminists have constructed an entire narrative that claims ALL women are victims of male sexual aggression (patriarchy theory) in order to attack all men.

Patriarchy theory is itself a colossal false rape accusation, created to empower women and demonise men.

[–]anonlymouse0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But feminists use the identity of "victim" as a weapon.

No reason not to do the same. Especially since the point is to negate the power feminists get from it.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

FWIW, about half of the /r/MensRights posters openly identify as feminists.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I see. What a bunch of fools.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

They don't identify as feminists. r/mensrights is absolutely anti-feminist.

I was very active as an mra at mensrights for about a year. Now I've changed to trp and I find both are mutually exclusive. But that doesn't mean they are feminists in the slightest.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I've been posting there for longer than my account indicates. Browse some threads that directly ask posters whether or not they consider themselves as feminists and you'll see that many of them still think that feminism is about equal rights, but it just has some fixable flaws. You are much more likely to be down-voted there for identifying as a TRP poster than as a feminist.

BTW, I'm not here to bash that sub, even though I am opposed to feminism myself. This is a simple observation.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I am really surprised that you have this impression of /mensrights.

Anti-feminism is an important part of the subreddit.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There is definitely a mix of posters there, with many decidedly against feminism. However, I have seen posts there where people defended feminism. I am guessing at the ratio, of course, but it seemed like close to half still thought feminism was a workable philosophy that just needed better balance. Perhaps I just caught those threads too early and they'd only been seen by the more pro-feminism posters at that point.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, this could be.

Well, it doesn't matter to me anymore. MRAs won't change anything so I don't care what they do or don't.

If every man started to lead a redpill life, things would change for the better.

[–]anonlymouse0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't openly identify as feminists though. Doing so will get you dog piled.

And we're slowly changing the perception that there's anything good about feminism. That's even made it into Ask Men.

[–]ShitLordXurious[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

How are they mutually exclusive in your opinion?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

In my opinion r/mensrights wants to change society. In a way that society respects men and understands them and allow men to have a better life and so on.

Trp doesn't want to change society. We all change ourselves so we get respect and a better life. We also don't need to feel "understood" like blue pill men.

The biggest difference is that we generalize a lot about women.

I can only say, the minute I subscribed to trp I had no interest anymore in browsing and posting to r/mensrights.

The only thing that is not mutual exclusive are some legal aspects like false rape accusations. But a majority of the issues over at /mr is about how men are seen as lesser beings in our society.

[–]anonlymouse0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

MRA doesn't have an underlying philosophy like patriarchy in feminism that makes it inherently incompatible with TRP.

I would agree it's largely vestigial. The primary problem for men's rights is feminism, so attacking feminism is the primary goal, and at the moment they do still want to be friends somehow.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

MRA doesn't have an underlying philosophy like patriarchy in feminism that makes it inherently incompatible with TRP.

That's true. You know I have nothing against the men's rights movement. I just don't think they will be able to make positive changes.

so attacking feminism is the primary goal

A worthy goal.

Or not, because it doesn't matter to me anymore.

I know that feminism is wrong.

But I don't feel the need to convince anyone anymore. Let ugly feminists be ugly feminists, let pathetic white knights be pathetic white knights.

[–]anonlymouse0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's true. You know I have nothing against the men's rights movement. I just don't think they will be able to make positive changes.

They already have. At the moment that's mainly in the awareness stage, but there was financial support for an underfunded men's shelter that happened in the past 6 months and backlash against prosecutors who wanted to inject a boy to force an erection so they could photograph him. Small victories, but victories nonetheless.

The growing movement also at least gives male DV and rape victims somewhere they can talk.

Or not, because it doesn't matter to me anymore.

You still need to work around the frame they've created. Marriage isn't an option even if you wanted to get married because of feminism. They're still directing what available actions for you are.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They already have. At the moment that's mainly in the awareness stage

Oh, yes, they do a good job at raising awareness. I don't want to downplay that.

Speaking of dv shelters, I always have to think of Earl Silverman who ran a dv shelter and later commited suicide.

backlash against prosecutors who wanted to inject a boy to force an erection so they could photograph him.

I've read about this, but I don't know how big the influence of the MRM was in this decision.

Small victories, but victories nonetheless.

Yeah.

I still think the biggest victory is when someone reads into /mensrights and sees for himself that he was being told lies all his life. The mensrights' red pill so to speak.

For example the DV shelters. Yes, we should have DV shelters for men. But on the other hand, it's treating symptoms. If men were more confident and raised to be alpha we wouldn't need DV shelters for men.

You still need to work around the frame they've created. Marriage isn't an option even if you wanted to get married because of feminism.

This is a valid point.

I am still trying to evaluate how big the influence of feminism really is. Many things that could be seen as caused by feminism can also be explained by the natural instinct to protect and provide for women. Feminism "just" amplifies everything like for example women's sense of entitlement.

[–]anonlymouse0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If men were more confident and raised to be alpha we wouldn't need DV shelters for men.

I'm not sure, DV rates are pretty consistent worldwide, despite widely different cultures.

Many things that could be seen as caused by feminism can also be explained by the natural instinct to protect and provide for women. Feminism "just" amplifies everything like for example women's sense of entitlement.

That's still a problem.
