There is no such thing as "vetting" in this context. "Vetting" doesn't mean shit. In the real world, people do "get serious" and do get married and do have children and that just means that they roll the dice. You protect yourself. You keep things separate, even in marriage.

I get the theory of this strategy if you're a paranoiac.

But you've missed the point that unicorns don't exists, and that you are essentially trying to manufacture your own bluepill.

At a specific moment, a unicorn might exist. But when you evolve through the years she will too. There is no "bro-test" or vaccine to avoid that.

What might happen here is that you will convince yourself that she is trustworthy, then be hurt and hate yourself for it. Instead, you should learn to remain loyal to yourself, confident in your own ability to keep her around, and witness how that wears out on her. Later throughout your relationship, make sure to not act like a broken frame, go to your friends if you need support, not her.

The other point that you are missing, is that Mr PikachuTshirt might not be attractive when she is on a girls night out, but when you are all hanging out at your home and he out-ranks you in charisma, attitude or confidence ... The game will be lost for you anyways.

I've seen a married couple for over 40 years at a party, and the madam was definitely attracted to the charismatic guy in their age range (not even a physical guy, just a solid frame).
