In fact, a good rule with jokes is... if it flies over your target's head, its a poorly considered joke and kills rapport. A good way I used to handle weak or over-the-top AMOGing was when they'd tell a joke, I'd ask them to repeat themselves and they'd just break down in frame, and do so. At which point, I said "I see" and ignore them as if they're irrelevant.

For me there are three possible values in the scale:

0 -- I wouldn't fuck that girl

1 -- It's fuckable for one night only

2 -- fuckable twice or more times

But I never tell them how I scale.

I use the pint system. Zero is the highest: Would fuck sober. Then it's "would require X pints". This scale has a nice natural floor - someone is too unattractive for me to get it up, and if I have enough pints, I'm too drunk to get it up. Built in safety system.

Or you can use the Patrice O'Neal scale from 0 to 30. Ugly bitches range from 0 to 10, average bitches from 10 to 20, and fine bitches from 20 to 30. This helps because most chicks who you might classify as 7's or 8's normally, rate from 18 to 22 on this scale. So when I walk up to talk to an 8, she is no longer an 8, she is just an average pretty girl. And 7's are just the best of the average girls

This is dumb. Women have little to offer other than looks and youthfulness and some DEFINITELY do it better than others.

The 1-10 scale is fine but most people kid themselves and others and use a 5-10 scale... If you really stop and think about the average looking girl being a 5, anything above a 7 is very rare.

You can acknowledge that a girl is extremely good looking, but just not let it effect your agenda. I would have told her she is was now a 1 out of 10 for asking me to rate her.

The actual line is: "On a scale of one to ten, I'd give you one" -- with the "I'd give you one" delivered appropriately so the double entendre isn't missed. In fact, you would have probably been in with "I'd give you one" instead of straight "You're a 1".
