I once had an enjoyable summer hooking up with an ex-girlfriend. Your circumstances are probably very different from what mine were, though.

Only about five years had passed since we broke up, and although we saw other people and only talked on occasion, the fun and the joy of "being friends" never disappeared. Before we started hooking up again, there was a long period of time where we built up the romantic tension between us by pretending it was innocent, so by the time it became an open secret between us, the clothes were ready to fly off.

Now that I think about it, it was pretty great. She wanted occasional hits of "temporary ecstasy" from someone who knew exactly what got her off, and I was happy to put in no effort whatsoever and have someone text me every other week or so saying she was coming over to fuck me. Essentially, an old girlfriend became a plate, and both of us were quite happy with the arrangement.

Ultimately she wanted a more domestic arrangement, and since I didn't live in the same city as her, she found a guy and settled down. Cool. All in all, it was better than our first relationship where we were both young, and way too close, and there was all the drama that naturally goes along with that.

So, I'd say, if she wants back into your life for reasons other than "temporary ecstasy", she probably wants to get into your wallet, and your business, rather than your pants. Fuck that noise. Besides, she hasn't even talked to you personally, which means this Facebook message from a friend is probably some bullshit, and your emotional response to this whole situation is just the call of familiar pussy fucking with your brain.

Don't do it, here's why-

Your value is appreciating because you've been working on yourself over the past ten years.

Her value is depreciating because she's not as young, fit and toned as she was ten years ago.

If you were able to lay her 10 years ago you'll definitely be able to lay a girl with a higher SMV these days so why would you reduce yourself to this?

It really doesn't hurt to invest a very minimal amount of effort in keeping ties that are easy going. I had an ex call me up for booty calls. Unfortunately for her, I was over her and not interested, but it was a win/win for me - I either got laid, or got the satisfaction of turning down sex. (She lived in another state, it wasn't worth the trouble).

Just don't invest a huge amount of effort into it.
