I think this post is going to be more for the newer guys around here. I have recently gotten my shit together and for the first time, I have a “set” of plates. These are some of the things I’ve learned.

1) Sex can get boring

As a 20 year old I literally never thought I would say this. Sex gets boring… it doesn’t even sound right. But it’s true. Now that I have it virtually whenever I want, it doesn’t seem to interest me as much. However I’ve noticed I become more bored of having sex with the individual girls, rather than the act of sex itself. It’s like once I got them, or had them a few times, the excitement really fades away. Plus, there is no real emotional desire or passion I share with these women. I was straight up with my intentions; I told each of them there would be no relationship, no feelings etc. Looking back at my prior relationship it makes me appreciate the passion/desire that added to the sex. Enough of the mushy stuff though.

2) There is still stress involved

Some of the elders here may look at this and laugh but I think there is still stress involved in spinning plates. Starting stupid drama, they want to come over when I’m busy, they want to “just chill” even after I stated there would be no such thing. Then sometimes they threaten to leave or go cold. I usually just brush that shit off but it always manages to slightly annoy me.

3) Having one plate doesn’t cure oneitis, having multiple does however

I suffered from oneitis for quite a long time. Maybe it’s because she was my first relationship/sexual experience, maybe it’s because she is really my type physically, I don’t know. But what I do know is when I first started spinning one plate it didn’t help. I still thought about my ex much more than I would have liked to. I was dwelling on the fact that we were no longer in a relationship, and I was with some girl who I really didn’t have any feelings for (other than finding her physically attractive there was nothing there). It wasn’t until I had a few that I felt I was over my ex. I think it was the external validation I got from having 3-4 girls whom I regularly slept with. You feel like a God. That being said, don’t get too attached to that external validation because plates fall all the time (which is something else I learned).

4) The majority of women out there are the same people

I’m not even talking about AWALT here. I’m talking about the fact that these girls are almost exactly the same fucking people. I’ll let you in on how a lot of women are (at least around me).

White, brunette - with a green parka and brown ugg boots in the cold months. Leggings and an over-sized shirt in the warmer months. They're all super unique and special and all of their interactions go as follows; “Hey Im X, I love Starbucks and Panera Bread!” Oh that’s nice, what do you do for fun? “Well um, you know, shopping, hanging out with friends, partying… and travelling!” I love travelling too – I once stayed in Cuba for 10 days living with locals and biking around the country. “Ew no I stay in the resort”. Ok, so do you any other hobbies? “I already told them to you”.

Obviously the interaction is exaggerated, but you all know exactly what I’m saying here, because you’ve probably heard some really similar shit. There is no substance, no real hobbies, and no passions. Their ambitious (they say) but they hardly scrape by in their liberal arts university programs or have some dead end minimum wage job. Or they’re an amateur “model” – those are my favourite.

5) The best plates are the ones with boyfriends

I always thought I’d stay away from these girls. I was so hurt when my ex cheated and I said to myself “I don’t wish this upon anyone else”. Then I met Danielle. We hooked up the night we met, and she gave me everything I wanted. She was ravenous and I’ve never had sex like that ever. Then she told me about her fantasies and what she likes about me etc. it was great. She stayed overnight, and when we woke up she told me she had to get going because she was going to her boyfriend’s mother’s brunch. I was shocked. And we still see each other. She comes over, we fuck, pillow talk about what we’re going to try next time, her sexual adventures, and her boyfriend, and then she leaves. Sometimes she’ll stay overnight and help with breakfast the next day. Great plate.
