About a year ago, I decided to find new meaning to my life since getting a woman has not really worked for me(because aesthetics or lack thereof). After I discovered the proverbial red pill through the MGTOW community, I discovered this subreddit. Both communities have helped me substantially.

Before discovering the red pill, I did things for other people; taking up personalities that I thought would make people like me. Dressed a certain way(hipsterish), took up certain hobbies(eg. photography) and even lost weight. After accomplishing all of these I still did not get the woman I "deserved", and people still made of the way I looked. I became severely depressed, and contemplated suicide, gained my weight back and started power-lifting (to relieve stress). A few months ago, I discovered some red- pillers on YouTube( "bar bar" , "the thinking ape" etc).

Now I know this subreddit does not fully support MGTOW, but these guys lifted up my spirit. Just like this subreddit, they look at things from a evolutionary psychological standpoint, and made me understand that I should not see myself the way I do. They also made me understand that women are not source of my happiness but they come along for the ride when I am at my best. That, even if they never come, it is totally fine. Moreover, my wellbeing should matter to me more than anyone and more than anything. Now I know this sounds elementary, but it took time for me to understand.

The problem I have is that I relapse to the blue pill world from time to time(because biology) and I have a hard time discovering my true Identity. In other words, when my Identity fails me, I feel bad. I can’t hold on to the few friends I make, I open up to friends about my feelings, and express my red pill philosophy. I just want to be me, and if no one cares, I want to be okay with it(as I am 75% of the time). I do not want to feel empty and really do not want to lie to the world just so I can keep people in my life. Advice?
