First of you get to know if the other person understands that what you are saying is not serious. (If they don't understand sarcasm they are probably quite dull). Secondly you let the other person playfully know that you are not trying to qualify yourself to them.

Me: Well, you invited me here. Clearly you have some kind of problem, why don't you tell me about your problem and we can discuss whether there is anything I can do to help you

As to the "who are you?" questions, well, I guess I would answer something along the lines of "thats a good question, lets hang out and find out who we are together"
