Women are parasites.

Men are the hosts.

The parasite feeds off value. Time, money, support, protection, entertainment.

The women has evolved a few stratergies to locate good hosts with lits of value and filter out ones with none.

For instance any man which is attracting a lot of parasites, usually has lots of value. Where as any man asking to be infected is clearly sick and should be avoided. A parasite will diligently pursue a healthy host, and has evolved to ignore any unworthy.

Once the women has infected the host she will attempt to leach as much value as she can get, while simultaneously protecting the host from other parasites. The parasite will get its sustenance, however the parasite is always hungry, and will always take more where it can. It will attempt to weaken the host, so the host forfeits it's value with less resistance.

Once the host has given all of its value, and the parasite is confident there is none left, it will search for a new host. The parasite is driven to feed and is remorseless during this transition.

While affective stratergies, evolution has the unfortunate tendency to be quite blunt in its approach, and the parasites strategies can work against it.

A host who refuses to give up its resources is percieved by the parasite to having a high level of value, even when it may not.

A host who is aware of this exploit can get multiple parasites to pursue it for long periods of time, the parasite will keep working to infect the host, even when it is no longer wise to do so.
