I've been getting tons of attention from other women on social media and real life. It's as if me being in a relationship boosted my SMV and now women want me (I'm a slightly above average looking guy, btw)

Take advantage of it and be sure to employ dread.

is it possible that women secret hate each other and are trying to one up each other in the sexual marketplace.

Hate? Depends on the level of bitchiness.

Compete? Absolutely. No different than men, though I'd say men have a lot easier time competing amongst themselves for women than vice versa.

Yes. Women hate each other and do not really form real friendships, themselves are all they care about. Take two girl best friends and put a rich aloha between them and they'll hate each other. Women have no loyalty but to themselves, so they have no way of making real friendships. They move up by dragging each other down.

There is no real "as if": having a girl on your arm who has a comparable or higher SMV than your own will boost your perceived value among women with the same or lower SMV than the girl.

If you are a 7 and have a 6, all the other 6s will find you more attractive. Better yet, if you have an 8, all the 8s will take a second look at you whereas they wouldn't if you were alone.

There is the side affect in your attitude because being in a relationship builds your confidence and you are more IDGAF when dealing with other women because you know you can get laid by your GF whenever.

Women don't hate each other. They despise the surface value of any woman better than themselves. Some may say they respect other females portrayed in some publication or maybe one of their relatives, but that's only an act where they think they have higher value to achieve.

Man look at each other in terms of potential the other Man has. Hence why a Man doesn't get jealous and start to plot ways on pulling the other party down (Minus Politics, because your aim is to look better than another person sharing the same limelight as you.)

A confident person knows he has the potential to become as great as the person whom has a value higher than him. Hence he build himself up and move into a field where he know he can excel. Woman can't, they despise another with higher surface value than she has or worse, a lower quality woman whom in her eyes doesn't deserve what she has compared to herself.

Beta Males are just Man operating using a Woman's method of living as stated above. That's why they will forever be unhappy without realizing their own potential.

I don't think it's that they are actively trying to sabotage your girlfriend. I think it's that that are completely shallow, vain, mentally invalid children, and when they see something they can't have they want it, even if it was the exact same when they could have it before.

Not being considered the best (if not, something special) drives them nuts.

Ever observed how they behave when a higher SMV girl joins the scene? Another female is being praised in front of her? Their nitpicks (nose, body etc) while talking about someone beautiful?

They overestimate themselves and can't stand falling behind when the illusion is shattered.
