"Privilege"

I've been seeing this word more often these days.

It's used interchangeably with "White", "Tall", "Thin", or what ever group you think is discriminating against you.

It's basically a form of prejudice, the very same prejudice they rail against.

Instead of focusing on ways to better themselves they waste their energy on crap like this website that they use to try to reassure themselves that there is nothing wrong with the state they are in.

They know it's not fine and they lie to themselves everyday.

It's crap like this that has become normal in society and accepted.

This bullshit is in reality unacceptable.

Well, it's obvious she's never worked in health care.

She needs to see a type 2 diabetes patient with a rotting foot that needs to be amputated. That will make her take her weight and that disease more seriously.

Her argument is akin to saying "How rude of you to be concerned that my car may blow up even though it's only on fire. Ugh. Air up my tires so I can be on my way." People can rationalize anything they want if they try hard enough.

I just found out I probably have hypothyroid too, which explains why I gained so much weight so quickly over a brief amount of time with no apparent change in lifestyle.

Guess what though, before I received my preliminary diagnosis, I was already losing weight by eating healthier and working out more. This woman clearly wants to use hypothyroid issues as an excuse for her weight. Yeah it makes it more difficult to maintain a healthy weight, but boo-hoo, that's life, it doesn't make it impossible, and I'm getting back to one and she can too.

TL;DR: "Thin privilege!" is a mental crutch that prevents her from walking.
