LONG time lurker, first time poster.

Introduction

It was the fall of my senior year of college. I am a highly accomplished athlete and scholar. A strong solidified job in finance awaited me following graduation. A 3X All-American in my sport. Student-athlete of the year. Tall, strong, and built. Lifting had become an essential part of my life. Spinning 2-3 plates. Everything was great. I am 100% focused on my mission and purpose, and everything was falling into place. Everybody knows who I am.

The Story

One night I was out and met a girl, HB9. One thing led to another and we ended up hooking up. She was cool, had the same interest, the same dark and sarcastic humor. We started hooking up regularly. About a month later, she asked to be exclusive. The rest is really history. We had a great time together. No fighting. Great sex all the time. It was both our first love. I was her rock, her man, unmovable. Kept focused on my mission and continued to achieve my goals athletically and academically, and she knew she was second to that. I had a great senior season and was told I had a legitimate chance to go pro.

Six months later, the summer comes, and we obviously see less of each other. We are heading overseas together in July with my family. All of a sudden, she's insanely cold, disrespectful, no sex. I ask her to fix her attitude halfway during the trip, she claims she "doesn't feel the same about us", I don't "text her first", I don't "show her off on social media". What??

The trip comes to an end, and nothing changed. So with seven hours remaining in our flight home, I dump her on the plane. I didn't care. I was so fucking mad. I was not going to take disrespect from anyone.

After she discussed the problems behind the scenes, her extreme depression and extreme eating disorder (doesn't even want to get changed in front of a mirror)(BPD???). I ended up caving and agreed to try to work things out after we fucked in the airplane bathroom.

One week later, it was awful. She was dead inside. Every time we spoke over the phone, it was like she was not herself. No emotion. Nothing. So we broke it off mutually. She claimed I was "amazing, so strong, deserved so much better than her, was the greatest addition to her live ever, she couldn't be in a relationship right now, maybe in the future when she's healthy we can try again" yadayadayadya.

Three weeks later, after she had reached out three times, I asked her to get together. She declined saying she should focus on school and me, my job. I said I understood, and to give me a call if she changed her mind, but I wasn't interested in being her texting buddy.

That was late August and we haven't spoken since.

I have tons of friends still at school, and apparently she is now with an absolute beta, scrawny kid. Girls that know her have texted me saying they don't know what the fuck she is doing, and how serious of a downgrade it is. She's become a huge instagram slut as well. All I can do is shrug.

I have hooked up with a good amount of girls, and been on plenty of dates since. But the whole situation still has me confused. For now, I'm taking a break from woman, and focusing on my two jobs, making a shit ton of money, and going professional in my sport.

I would be lying if I said this whole thing wasn't tough on me. But I would like to thank this sub for changing my life and allowing me to accomplish things I never thought were possible. I may not be 100% RP, but I'm on my way.

Final Thoughts

  • You can be the man. Accomplished, driven, high SMV, tall, strong, built, intelligent, immovable. And sometimes, it just won't work out. It'll fall apart for things outside your control.
  • High anxiety, depression, eating disorders...STAY AWAY
  • Stay on your mission, NOTHING is more important
  • Once a girl moves on from us, it will ALWAYS be a downgrade
  • It is better to be with no girl, than to be with one that consumes more value from your life than she adds.
  • Be willing to walk away from disrespect...Law 16: "Use Absence to Increase Respect and Honor. You must learn to withdraw yourself before you are unconsciously pushed away. Starve the other person of your presence. Force their respect by threatening the possibility that they will lose you for good."
