I think this is spot on. I've met a few women who I thought wanted to sleep with me and were just leading me on. When I lost interest in them they gave me extra attention to keep me on the leash, and when I was interested they kept me at arm's length.
If there's mutual attraction there's no need to jump through hoops, you both just want each other. Simple really.

If I have the free time, I've found that when I'm given the "no sex" line in any form (be it ever or "not until we are dating") you can entertain yourself by returning the favor.
No compliments, sexy jokes, references, hints or suggestions. When they tell a story or say some guy hit on them or they are getting they are getting booty calls, just stay neutral.
The idea that you don't care about sex and are trying to learn about them as a person genuinely panics them and they try and switch gears hard back to the sex lane.

What you say here is technically correct, but it's far from being the whole picture.
Consistency is a tool of the patriarchy! Women get to be fickle and flaky. They can be very attracted to you one day and not very attracted to you another day and very unattracted to you the third day.
This will result in her being in a mindset of ripping her pants off on one day, playing hard to get on another day and reacting with "eewww, is that all you think about?" On a third day. On the fourth day she might be back to being a sex crazed fiend and she can run through this entire mindfuck every menstrual cycle....
In other words: if she isn't melting out of her pants for you, it might be that you're unattractive to her in general, but it might also be that she's just in the wrong point in her mindfuck cycle.

Of course, but when it comes to at the moment decision making as whether or not to bother engaging with a woman further, all you need to "know" is her current mood at that time. There should be no need for a dissertation whose length is on par with War and Peace to relay a very simple concept: Fuck yes or Fuck no. The mistake many men make is investing in a woman in the now expecting reciprocation later. Covert contracts and all that bullshit. But without some method of enforcing them, such covert contracts are worthless wastes of time and effort. Because you cannot fucking negotiate desire. So don't.
Is she trying to make you jump through hoops? Just move onto something or someone else. She'll either change her mind later or she won't, but either way only invest in her/reward her after she has behaved well, if you do so at all.
There is no expectation whatsoever of consistency in her behavior in my observation. So please do not read into it what is not there.
But I can tell you one thing that is consistent - the fact that waiting around (orbiting) for her mood to change in your favor is almost always a complete waste of time that could have been better spent elsewhere.

I always think the first date should be drinks somewhere relaxed and each should buy a round.
I'll normally arrive first and make sure there's a drink waiting by the time she arrives so the first round is covered.
The second round is on her or there is no second date.
I've got no problems with paying for everything on a date but for a first meeting it should be split 50/50. You're both investing time to see if the other person is worth your interest. From there it's game on.

The problem with that is that 90%+ of the time its the guy asking. Meaning you're the one that's typically always paying. And a lot of women know this and use this to their advantage.
Hell, even for the second date you're the one asking ESPECIALLY when it comes to online when you are competing with hundreds of others. When I did online, I was fine when I had her and I split the tab. Or I pay for the first round and we go to the next bar and she gets the next.
The women who lost their shit over that proposal saved me a crap ton of time, money and energy. The only exceptions was if they were broke college students

No. Or, should I say, not anymore. We know who we're dealing with now. Young men today are quite "lucky", sort of, to be able to educate themselves about the arsh reality regarding the better-and-empathic gender. We, old-timers, especially when raised by single mothers (or nonnas), without any male representation, have had to learn the hard way with a trial and error method (and it abundantly sucked tbh).
First round is on her if I'm paying? At least this one has some kind of a sense of humor. Somehow, in a middle of an army of entitled thots with nasty attitudes and severe symptoms of alcoholism, it's a little refreshing.

Thank you. It’s indoctrination by society at an early age that allows women to think that men are walking ATM’s I feel. Media plays a huge role in this as well. I was raised by a single mom and had feminism instilled in me, and it took some researching to figure out the faults of that ideology. Maybe. A lot of women aren’t great with money and suck at saving and investing. I’m 36 and am just recently looking into investments. I wish money management was a mandatory class in high school. Well to be fair the reason they are well off IS that they work in money management XD. Banking runs in their family. But yes I do agree financial responsibility is a thing that needs to be taught. I was no good at it and I am a guy. I think it is a people thing.

I mean the way they described it to me is “they are paying me to be intimidated and keep the creeps off them.” And before anyone says anything about that they mean it in a fun way. I generally prefer guys over girls after all. Plus I am always the designated driver because I don’t drink. And the places they like to go are outside my price range.
