They aren't celibate in a sexual or physically intimate way.

They claim they are celibate in a [female only entitled way], which is that men won't commit to them.

What they all fail to realize is, as long as they are young, fertile, and a virgin, nearly half the population of men will commit to them, in order to access their bodies that literately no other man is competing with him for.

Their problem is they do not attempt to find men that would compliment them because they ALLLLLL DESERVE THE BEST and WON'T SETTLE FOR LESS. Even if it crosses their minds that they could get an [inferior man], they will hamster out of doing anything of the sorts.

Femcels is such a strange place. They're not quite as weird as incels who have some very odd ideas about things, but I simply can't fathom any woman unless she's literally a 1/10 (we're talking mentally retarded or severe deformities that makes normal life impossible) it's simply not nearly as hard for an equivalent dude to get laid or get in a relationship.

I used to know a girl - severely overweight (300+ lbs at 5'2" ish), was completely clue less, never could hold a job outside of fast food for more than a few months, had never ever lived outside of her mom's house (she must be 35 now), can't drive and doesn't have a car, had severe borderline personality disorder where the slightest perceived swipe at her (perceived being the key word here) would send her into a rage where she would unload on you screaming and yelling, would be a 4/10 at best even if she wasn't massively overweight.... The list goes on I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff since it's been so long since I spoke with her.

And yet, she never had any trouble getting laid or even getting into relationships! I can only assume she's fucked dozens of guys, and even managed to snag some relatively decent men into short term relationships that she would sabotage shortly after.

If she were a dude, just half of these things would disqualify any man from any kind of relationship, much less hooking up. Which is why I just cannot fathom the girls that browse /r/femcels regularly - they either have to be that bottom 10% in looks, or they have severe personality disorders which makes them incapable of being in a relationship in the first place.

Between her and male incels, she can get intimacy (if only for a night) while many guys cannot even get that. On that account she is privileged.

At the same time I’ve seen ladies in their forties with 1 or 2 kids become wives to very old men (geezers walking to the grave) who give attention to these men and get lots of money when he dies (let’s face it, he’s gotta have money) then bounce and live well. Even IN THEIR FORTIES(and not even that attractive) they can do that. I have yet to see a man with similar attractiveness do the same.

When I hear femcel I usually believe it to be “in relation to other women” because compared to equivalent male incel it’s pretty good.

IMHO, the femcel phenomenon comes from the fact that a woman who can't find a guy gets sympathy (from other women, beta males, society in general, etc.). Therefore, they play that role to get that sympathy. See, there are 3 states that a girl can be in:

1) Find a great guy, get commitment, etc. This is of course, what everyone wants. But not everyone has. If you *don't* have this, then you have two options:

2) Keep dating / meeting / screwing guys until you find one that commits to you.

3) Stop dating completely.

Ironically, option #2 invites the most scorn: if a girl says "I've fucked 10 guys and couldn't get any of them to commit" plenty of people will tell her she's a slut, or at the very least tell her she needs to do better in selecting her partners.

But if she chooses #3 and says "I can't get *any* guy", she'll get nothing but sympathy about how life is so tough for women these days, no good guys around, "successful, strong independent women" being victimized b/c guys are "too intimidated", etc.

Which means, in many ways, it's preferable to present yourself as #3 aka a femcel, rather than try and fail. And after awhile, that reinforcement of your own martyrdom status becomes so comfortable, you're not interested in giving it up, even if it's ultimately not getting you what you want.

This is completely opposite to male incels, who, if they choose #3, are completely ridiculed and insulted, which means guys who are in #3 are truly not there by choice.

This is why you'll see lots of WAATGM-type articles essentially taking a femcel stance, being very coy about the fact that they do, indeed, match with and/or date lots of men, even as they wail about not being able to find a Good Man. Heck, hot female celebrities often complain about being single and not being able to find a man, and spending nights watching netflix alone, implying that they're essentially femcels, even as they secretly fuck their costars, directors, etc. and have a rotating panel of fuck buddies, FWBs, sugar daddies, friendly ex's, orbiters, etc. And everyone laps it up, even knowing full well that there are literally millions of guys willing to fuck them and even date them (plenty of whom are probably good prospects). All because admitting that it's easy to get laid *and* that they take advantage of it, gives you far less social sympathy and validation than painting yourself as a femcel.

The only difference is that femcels actually go through with the charade and stop dating because they find the validation / sympathy that comes from their femcel status to be a bigger high than whatever they got from dating.
