I have very very VERY few males that I call my friends. One of them went to college with me and graduated two years before I did—he went to law school and he’s now working a pretty good job. About a couple months ago, he started messaging me on messenger and I messaged back. We kept communication there as I went on an IG break for almost 8 months. I go back, and he starts messaging me occasionally asking how I’m doing, and sending pictures and videos of parrots (I love parrots and animals and what not, and so does he, so very surface area for now which is okay with me).

Last Thursday, he sends me a video of a duck sliding on ice and he captions it “Me sliding through your DM’s 😏😏😏” in which i respond “LOLLL the smoothest glide ever” he then hearted it, read my message and didn’t respond. I’m not letting this get to me because I have a life to live and I have work and school. It’s still weird for me but I’m trying—I’ve been out of a relationship for almost two years, and not sure if I’m doing this right. I don’t message him first, I’m not even going to send anything to him because I’ve been there and done that with my ex. Again, not sure if I’m doing this so called “flirting” or “talking” right.
